Way back in 2006 (that’s a long time in blogging years) I was busily writing an ebook that would eventually become a course, that would eventually be scrapped altogether and morph into what today is Blog Mastermind, my elite training course for people interested in professional blogging.
During this time I played around with different technologies to deliver these products I was planning. I was also studying Internet marketing and it was around this time I was actively observing the work of successful Internet marketers like Jeff Walker, Brad Fallon, Rich Schefren and…. Mike Filsaime.
Mike was relatively new on the block compared to the other guys, at least in terms of having mainstream exposure, and it wasn’t until he released something big in 2006 that he really made his mark. That something big was Butterfly Marketing, one of a handful of million dollar launches that occurred in 2006, and what truly put Mike on the map of Internet marketing superstars.
Initially I didn’t buy into the Butterfly Marketing launch because I was cautious when it came to spending $997 on a product. A few months later I was in a position to actually make use of exactly what Mike was teaching and offering with his Butterfly Marketing script, so I purchased just before the price increased to $1497 (and more recently $1997).
What Is Butterfly Marketing?
I’m not going to explain Butterfly Marketing here because I’ve already reviewed both the script and the strategies in two previous articles on this blog.
You can read my review of the STRATEGIES Mike introduced with the Butterfly Marketing manuscript (the report that came with the software) here –
The Butterfly Marketing Manuscript Review
You can read my review of the software script that you can use to create Butterfly Marketing websites that implement the strategies here –
The strategies had a far more profound impact on me than the script did, mainly due to all the bugs and challenges I had setting up the script to do what I wanted it to do. That was a much earlier version of the script, and while I doubt it’s perfect yet, I expect Mike’s programmers have improved it immensely since then.
The ideas Mike introduced to the Internet marketing world, though nothing new to direct offline marketers, were quite significant when it came to online marketing. Mike made the “one time offer” (OTO) concept mainstream and thanks to the script, any person could easily integrate a OTO into their selling process. Since then millions of dollars have been made online thanks to the OTO.
The OTO was not the only innovation Butterfly Marketing introduced, but it definitely had the most impact. Other concepts like the viral power of an integrated affiliate program, the thank you landing page technique and the strategy of many “little things” resulting in a big impact (the Butterfly Effect), were all unique ideas Mike brought into the Internet marketing landscape that you can learn now if you register for his current free offer.
Get Both The Software and The Report Free
On March 24th Mike is releasing 5,000 physical copies of Butterfly Marketing 2.0, the next generation of the software script on CD and a printed version of the study materials that teach the Butterfly Marketing strategies.
Mike has decided to go with the free offer in exchange for trialling his newsletter model, so if you’re quick you can get this deal for the cost of shipping if you agree to sign up for his print newsletter. You then decide whether to remain a member of the newsletter or cancel and pay no monthly fee.
There will also be an upsell and a downsell offer as you go through the order process, so be prepared for those, and if they present something you want, you can consider purchasing. If not, just click through those pages and complete your order for Butterfly Marketing 2.0.
I believe one of the offers during the ordering process is an invitation to an event Mike is running this year. If you’ve never been to an Internet marketing conference, definitely consider what Mike is running. Meeting your peers and experts from our industry is critical for success in this business (in my opinion) and it’s just plain fun to hang out at events with like minded people pursuing the same dreams. It’s great for joint ventures too.
Once you complete your order, Mike’s fulfillment house will ship you the physical CDs and printed manuals, you can study the Butterfly Marketing strategies and start building sites with the automated script – and it will only cost you the shipping fee.

Plenty of Success Stories
Although I sometimes cringe at Mike’s techniques when it comes to marketing online because he can be quite aggressive at selling (that’s just a personal opinion, others would just call it good marketing), it’s undeniable that the Butterfly Marketing strategy is sound and very effective in any market.
Right off the top of my head I can think of three people I personally know, two Aussies – Frank Bauer and Aurelius Tjin both from Sydney – who have made hundreds of thousands of dollars with Butterfly Marketing sites, and Michael Cheney from the UK, who has used Butterfly Marketing strategies in several six figure launches, including AdSense-Videos that made him over $250,000 in sales in one week. You can hear Michael explain how he did it in the podcast interview I did with him.
There are plenty more case studies, some of which Mike will show you in videos once you register for Butterfly Marketing 2.0 release notice. You will also get a copy of the digital PDF version of the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript immediately after registering, so you can begin to study the strategies immediately.
There is a small affiliate commission I can make from this if you stay a member of Mike’s newsletter ($10 a month), however the main reason I’m telling you about this is because it’s just a darn good freebie (if you do buy anything from Mike, thanks for choosing to go via my link). Every Internet marketer should be familiar with Mike’s techniques from Butterfly Marketing and having the 2.0 version of the script available as a distribution medium for any product you want to sell online, is the icing on the cake.

Good luck securing your copy.
Yaro Starak
Butterfly Marketer

Thanks for the tip Yaro. I read Butterfly Marketing v1.0 and it was a real eye-opener! Mike really knows his stuff and explains it in a way that most people, even Internet Marketing virgins, can understand and value.
Just registered, I came across this post on a site talking about butterfly marketing which had a track back here.. Great will let you know how I get on..
I have registered myself for the Butterfly Marketing v2. I didn’t purchase v1 but I really want to see what are the new stuffs in v2.
Hi Yaro
I paid $997 for the script back when it first launched, and if anyone reading this plans on releasing a free report anytime soon they should be all over Mike’s offer to get it for free.
The OTO concept and downsell is very powerfull, and if you can combine forces with people who have similar reports you can create a nice network and start building your list on autopilot.
Good luck to everyone who gets this great offer.
Andrew
I bought the 7 Figure Report from Mike Filsaime last year and almost immediately got bombarded with emails. I quickly unsubscribed, but was surprised to then get a call from a high pressure sales guy on behalf of Mike. Despite saying I wasn’t interested and asking to be taken off their calling list, I have received three more calls over the past 6 months, the most recent one last week.
Whilst I was properly unsubscribed from Mike’s mailing list, the timing coincided with being put on a couple of spam IM lists. Given the phone calls, it wouldn’t surprise me if this was also one of Mike’s practices. Personally I would never buy anything from Mike’s organisation again, and would advise anyone who is interested in doing so to be very careful before passing on their details.
Hmmm, I’m always wary of Filsaime. I paid for a copy of his Traffic Fusion software because it was actually good software, but I’d paid for it because I’d been sucked into the hype machine not because I particularly needed it so when I asked for a refund it took me a week of back and forth emails to get my money back even though there was apparently a “100% money back guaranteed no questions asked”.
You know Yaro maybe I am just tired but I am getting pesimistic about these guys and there never ending courses for free but somewhere in this course will be a send me money message. After watching the video and listening to this guy talk about himself and then Frank Kern I was pretty turned off. Sorry but that is just how I feel about the site and video.
Thanks to you for bringing what you think is good and I appreciate all your hard work but this one turns me off.
Hey Scott – yes you do have to expect a marketing message (a request for money) during promotions like this for obvious reasons – they are not going to survive as business people if they only give their stuff away for free.
The “cost” of ordering something like this at the price of free (or shipping anyway) is participating in the marketing process they use to deliver the goods to you.
In this case, I think the cost represents very good value, but maybe to you it does not.
I have to agree with the negative comments here. I’ve been in a couple of forums/blogs in the past few days, and there has been an overwhelming amount of Mike bashing going on, exactly along the lines of what’s here.
My problem with Mike and his materials is the guy is next to illiterate and has obviously never discovered how to use spell and grammar checking software. I can’t get past all the mistakes in everything he does. Even his videos are difficult for me to listen to.
My practice of late has been to immediately unsubscribe from anyone who sends me anything about Mike and his products.
Just something else to be aware of…Mike sells his lists. I’ve received numerous phone calls from other marketers I’ve never signed up with and they begin by telling me the reason I’m being called is because I’m a customer of Mike’s. I waste no time in setting them straight!
I value what you have taught me, Yaro, and what I know I will continue to learn from you…even though you’re gently pushing Mike’s stuff. I will forgive you. But only you! :-0
Seriously, I will never purchase anything from Mike again.
Ruby I appreciate your leniency towards me
Mike certainly does have typos in his work and his scripts often have bugs, but there is one thing you can say about the guy – he makes a ton of money because of the strength of his marketing. Since the Butterfly Marketing manuscript teaches some of this marketing techniques, I reckon it’s worth grabbing in this offer.
Of course as I replied to Scott above, there is a cost involved if you do this that includes an ongoing marketing system that you will become involved with as a result of accepting the offer.
Once bitten, twice shy, is a quite reasonable response, but let’s not forget that everyone has a different experience. I appreciate you sharing yours.
Just the fact that he makes tons of money does not qualify him to be a superman. He simply does not know the difference between a hard sell and an obnoxious experience. I am afraid that I have to agree with many of the negative statements here about Mike and am disappointed that you are plugging for him.
Mike certainly has a reputation for the hard sell. I’ve been on his lists and its like getting clubbed over the head at times. But this does seem like an offer too good to pass up.
Yaro,
Thank you, soooo much, for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us. I’m new to internet marketing and I have lots to learn. However, you are at the top of my list for “go-to” guys when I want good, solid, quality information.
I took Mike up on his offer and I’m waiting with bated breath for my copy of Butterfly Marketing 2.0. I hope to “soar to the moon” with it!!!!!!!
And, with anything, you sift through it and take what you can use and discard the rest! Mike Filsaime may not be for some folks but he sure does appeal to a whole lot of others!!!! If I can learn just one thing from Mike’s program that brings me $100, then it was worth the investment of less than $30 for shipping and handling. I have learned to differentiate between the man and the material when it comes to building my knowledge base. I say, “GO FOR IT!!!!!!”
I missed the contest but I bought Butterfly Marketing 2.0 anyway. It’s awesome! I love the success stories – they’re not only interesting and motivational but also give great ideas for businesses.
With Butterfly Marketing you are supposed to enter a training program that ensures you will have the marketing knowledge you need to improve the income you are trying to make with your home business.
Wow, I have to agree with some of the comments here. I just now got off the phone with a representative of the Mike Filsaime Company named “Kaden” (never sure if they use their real names). He called me, no doubt because I purchased the Butterfly Marketing 2.0 course.
Holy cow. The guy started off really nice, but as we got into the conversation, things really started to deteriorate. The questions started coming at me so fast that I had to ask him if he wouldn’t mind just *giving* me more information instead of quizzing me constantly. He at one point said that I was being defensive and I have to admit it was like being on the witness stand!
I finally told Kaden that I didn’t think the conversation was going well, and he just kept asking me questions and then contradicting me if my answers didn’t match up with what I had said previously.
Honestly? My answers started changing because I was no longer interested in his program (Mentoring). Sure, I had been interested at the beginning of the conversation, but that changed as he berated me – and he claimed that because my answers weren’t consistent, that meant I was being evasive and defensive.
Jeezus! It was surreal. It was like being grilled by a Scientologist.
I finally had to resort to simply saying “Kaden, we’re done”, and I had to repeat that about 8 times, seriously.
This was almost as bad as trying to cancel my AOL account, and let me tell you THAT was no picnic.
All I have to tell you is I would look elsewhere to JV, because I will NEVER give another dime to the Filsaime Organization, and I kinda look askance at anybody who aligns themselves with him.
Worst experience I’ve ever had with a “Guru” – Mike needs to get a handle on his delivery. When you compare the likable demeanor of some of the other Guru’s and their people, and then Mike and his….It’s like night and day.
Marcus
Marcus, you should have done what I did and hung up almost right away. My bulls**t detector went off as soon as the guy started to speak. What annoyed me is that I’d asked to be taken off their mailing list, and even after calling the first time (when I reconfirmed that I didn’t want to hear from them again), they called me 2 or 3 more times after that. The whole Filsaime ‘process’ stunk from start to finish, and as a result I would completely filter out anything from him again. To me its a negative that Yaro has any association with him, but I’ll forgive him this one discretion.
