If you’re reading this page on the web version of my blog then you can see the new design. If not, go here to see it -
http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com

The new design was created by Nate Whitehill from UniqueBlogDesigns.com, who does great work and has a ridiculous amount of patience given how many updates I forced him to make for me before launching this (we’re talking months of work).
If you’re looking for a custom and unique blog design and have some money to invest, I highly recommend Nate and his team, they rock and in my opinion are the leaders in the blog design industry.
This new design still has some bugs that we’re working our way through and I’d appreciate it if you do see any issues, please leave a comment so we get everything ironed out.
This new theme is not a dramatic shift from the old design. What I wanted to do was incorporate some new elements, in particular a focus on my world travels (through photos) to emphasize the lifestyle that is possible thanks to running a blog, which I’m currently blessed to live.
Some of the new features you will see include -
- The photo at the top right rotates each page load to a different shot from my travels overseas
- There is more extensive Twitter integration
- A new video area in the sidebar features my most recent video
- Flickr photos have been integrated
There’s something quite refreshing about changing the look of your blog. I hope you like the design as much as I do.

It’s a very nice realign (as you said, it’s more of a modification than a full redesign), far cleaner, although I’m not sure just yet if it’s more readable. The photo rotation is a great idea, but you should clean up the color balance of the photos just a bit. Overall – Nate and the guys did a great job!
P.S. Just noticed the design broke after a reload in Safari 4 (5528.16).
I’d recommend you test this design on Chrome. Very buggy on my computer. 1280 x 800
Yaro
The new design looks MUCH cleaner. They did a great job for you. You were able to bring the aspects of the old design that worked well and integrate them in with an updated design. Overall, I think you are going to see better performance out of this one.
Great work!
Robb Sutton
I really like new design! It’s more professional and stylish than pervivious one. I think you are going ine the right direction!
What can I say, UBD (Unique Blog Designs) had been creating new revolution blog design for top bloggers around the world. I would love them to design my blog, but you know, you want good stuff you got to pay.
In the near future, I will have them create a design for my blog, since I’m still saving my cash for them to create my blog.
But anyway, you blog is nice with the new design but I think the bottom pop-up should change the background color to fit your blog, black seems to be a bad color for your blog since you are using blue and white, think in my opinion, may be you should use orange color which is the color of your logo…. and ya write some words in it too…
I don’t know why, but social proof doesn’t influence me here. I really loved the old design. This one is “not so good”.
It looks really neat, Yaro.
However, as you said there’re still some bugs. The toolbar is under the comment area. It looks normal at the front page. (I’m using Vista + FireFox 3.0.10)
Best,
Diogo
Cool but there’s a few things that is not right. Your widgets all gone to the right and below the comment area.
Homepage is fine, only in the comments area.
I’m using IE7.
Wow, new design! I’ll keep in mind that team
Yaro,
Clean, crisp design…easy to follow with the eyes…nice color contrasting, too. Really enjoy the “changing” of your pictures when you navigate from one tab to another and back again!
One tweak needed, on both IE and Firefox your widgets are on the left and partially hidden in the margin.
Super design overall…
Frank
Yeah, lots of bugs here too. Once I go past the front page the side bar goes haywire. I’d be switching back to the old design until they get sorted out… could be very off putting to new visitors.
The single page template is messed up somehow, front page looks ok and nice & clean look too. Feels like EJ after the changes, so good job in that matter. Pictures on the top give that nice extra, personal touch I’ve always liked about you Yaro.
Are you using thesis framework?
p.s. Sidebar is below comments
I like the new worldly pics, very inspiring. The widgets are all off track to the bottom left and slow to load on my screen using Firefox 3.0.1. I’ll be watching with interest as the redesign gets finalized. -Paul
Talk about clean web design! Very nice. I agree with Danny with it’s a little buggy in Chrome. Your sidebar is gone when I click over to type in this comment (does the same in Firefox). I assume you don’t want that.
If you figure out how to get your Twitter widget to work in Chrome, please let me know. It works on some pages of mine and not on others, or not at all, depending on the alignment of the planets I suppose. LOL
Congrats on the new design.
Dig it, Yaro and Nate! Looks great. Front page looks excellent, but the single.php is a bit janky. The sidebar is underneath the comments and forced so far to the left that all I see are your RSS icon and the Blog Profits Blueprint book. Other than that, looks good. I really like the design and it doesn’t feel like a brand new awkward site. Feels like the same ol’ Yaro, doing his thing in new splendor!
Rock on, guys!
I have been following your Blog for a while Yaro, and I am pleasantly surprised by the new look. I think this theme design is so much fresher than the last. I’m happy to see that a well-established Blogger like you is not afraid to re-evaluate the impact of occasional Blog “Facelifts”. Good luck with it!
Hi Yaro,
Your website looks great, but unfortunately the sidebar has moved below this comment box and I don’t think it’s supposed to be there. Next to that I also want to ask if you want to take a look at my new website. I write reviews about products that can make money online and I’ve ranked your Blog Mastermind Program at the number-one-position. Maybe you can leave a remark or a comment, just to let me know if I did a good job? Comments from other are welcome as well, of course.
Anyway keep up the good work,
Anthony
Only thing i have noticed is the featured video just shows a gray box in the side bar
Are the avatars/pics from the Forum to be automatically uploaded to the Comments section? If yes, not populating yet.
Hey Yaro, Love the new design especially all the new photos at the top!
Much better the new design Yaro, i must say your content is king but is really nice to see a make up on your design.
New design is the right moove, Keep up the good work Yaro.
Yaro, are you at risk of turning your blog into a travel diary? This maybe be confusing in the minds of your audience.
Liked your old theme better. This one is too busy and is giving me a headache.
Looks great Yaro, I think the change is for the better.
It still feels like a very sleek and professional blog and I personally like the personal aspects you’ve integrated.
Hey Yaro. Overall it looks pretty good in Firefox. The rotating picture in the top right is a great idea. It looks like you’ve integrated a lot of other cool features too. Once the bugs are cleared up this should help this blog do even better. UBD definitely is the leader in blog design.
-Jeremy
I like the changes mate, the photos look great, well balanced and well presented.
Looking forward to hearing what a difference the twitter integration makes!
Dave.
Love the new design! I really like the sign-up “box” at the bottom of the screen – Nice touch!
I love your new design Yaro. I think UBD always manages to do a great blog designing blog. Very tempting to spend the money..
Yup I agree about the clean part.. Now its more organised than before..
Nice new design. More minimalist. I like the EJ logo, makes it easier for visitors to remember the site, good branding technique.
Heya Yaro! I’ve noticed the site design changes. It looks a lil bit wide on my HP Mini. Good thing you’ve made use of the real estate with the ticker bar area. In fact, I’m still looking for the plug-in that helps display posts in ticker style.
Great work with the site modification.
Hey Yaro, great new look. Kudos to your design team. No bugs for me on FF which should be some relief. I do wonder though if you get more value from your recent podcast somewhere in the sidebar rather that pushed all the way down there in the footer. Seems to me like a great value-add is going to waste down there.
Have a great day.
Hi Yaro,
First time visit to your blog and I am liking the new design.
I like your new design, looks awesome!
Very nice upgrade. Simple, easy to read great to look at. Congratulations!
Hey Yaro, yeah I like the new design. It’s always great to have something new and refreshing. It did take a long time to load on my end though. I’m not sure if that is my connection today or what. Either way, the new look gets a thumbs up here.
Take care,
Davin
is me or the laoding time is longer… and after 2 or 3 page load.. it’s start to be very buggy or unable to load….
Besides the fact that it took me several MINUTES to even load the site (and I’m not on a slow connection) everything looks nice.
Now that I think of it I recall that your old design took forever to load as well. Maybe it is time for a server change?
/Mikael
Hi Yaro, nice redesign.
Problem I have is that the site is taking forever to load. The Flickr images, the home page, any internal links….all taking quite a while and sometimes to the point of timing out. It might be my connection but I’m not experiencing the same issues with any other sites.
I like the addition of your photos etc.
Looks clean and good. User friendly and topic clearness. Good job.
And funny, I uploaded my new Blogdesign yesterday too.
So its time for everybody to think about his design and how to make it user friendly.
Definitely an improvement on the old look and I can definitely take some ideas for the design of my new blog. The only issue I found is that it actually takes quite some time to load the blog now. I don’t know if it my internet which is running slow at the moment or if its actually from your site.
A new design? Hey, this is simply smashing! You’re not just a blogger but a real creative genius for coming with this design look.
Really love it!
I second that Michelle. The new site takes a looong time to load and sometimes refuses to load altogether. Other times it loads but the design is all messed up. Clearly, some script needs a serious fix. When it loads properly it’s pretty nice.
The new design looks awesome. My only problem is it takes forever to load. Either than that, I complete love it.
Love the new design. Very comprehensive. Great how you integrated everything on the “home” page.
I also liked the old site better… I don’t like the bottom pop-up. There was already an appealing free offer for subscribers on the old one. I feel it’s more noisy the way it is. The menu bar is nice and clear though, It seems to grab my attention more.
Honestly?
Takes a very long time to load and for my eyes it’s SO busy…and sometimes a bit wonky. I feel like I have to take ADD medications after trying to look at everything!
Hi Yaro, I’ve been following your blog for quite sometime now, it is my first time to put a comment. The new design is quite much more personalized, I love it. For me, adding the pictures about your travel only show that blogging is not just work but lots of fun too! You seem enjoying a lot during your travel, we can see that in your smile.
Congrats, now it is more easy to put comments since the design promotes more personal interaction with your readers.
Hi thanks for the email update on your new design. Changing a formula that works is always a worrying time.
Having said that, changes for the better are always worthwhile and as a seasoned blogger you know your stuff.
As you said a few bugs but a short term issue.
Be interesting to see the impact on your stats and the reasons behind all your changes.
I was reading that Google has whole teams dedicated to testing their pages and how just a small change can have a dramitic imact on results.
Thanks again for the update. The content is great so will be back.
Brgds
Yaro, I think your new design looks great! But then I really liked the old one, too.
Nice to have the rotating images at the top – fun.
Nice work!
Lani Muelrath
I love the new design Yaro!!!!
Really nice design – an easy to follow flow and layout, which is quite appealing. Not ‘headachey’ with too much going on everywhere; good compartmentalization.
I’m in the process of learning how to migrate & upgrade my Fiercely Strategic blogspot to Wordpress. I’ll definitely check your guy Nate to learn if he offers a basic WP theme & service I could use.
Congrats, and keep up the excellent work!
Your Message. I do. This is certainly much more pleasing to the eye than the previous version.
Very nice design, seems to be working well on my setup (Vista FF 3.0.10) I will look around the site some more and see if I notice anything else that jumps out at me. I have been overall very impressed with the work UBD has done, they seem to be carving out a very secure spot for themselves in the higher end blog design business.
Your website looks great and clean design with white background. It’s a good ideal to have opt-in box at the top and bottom to increase the opt-in rate.
To Your Success
Bryan Hee
The new look rocks! Although I thought the earlier design was nice too.
I guess this is a good time to say how much I enjoy your newsletters. In fact
yours are among the very few I actually open and read.
Thanks for being.
Do not use width in a fixed pixels. Use always in %.
Yaro,
Congrats on the new design! It looks professional, indeed!
Hi Yaro,
I thought your previous design was excellent but you really outdid yourself with this new design. I find it very pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. My only complaint is the load time. I tried loading it a few times with high speed access and the results were the same. Overall, I still give it 2 thumbs up.
great design easy to navigate around.
I really don’t care for it. I loved the old design & modeled a design of my own around it. This looks a lot like every other straight-line/boxy “clean” blog out there. But if you like it, I’m glad you do.
Your Message: Yaro, I just put up a site(Blog) with a domain
InternetMarketersReality.com little more than two weeks ago. I set up my blog format and Title.
Take a look, I was surprised when I saw your wording.
“Down to earth advice for the novice and emerging internet marketer.” is what my title incorporates.

I like this design. It’s organized yet fun-looking. The page is crisp with sufficient white space. Easy to read.
Yaro, love your work but I find your design so confusing on the eye. Not sure it works for me.
Your Message
Yaro, here’s the site with the wording that seems similar to your new design.
Yaro, This is a new blog. I hope there’s no conflict with the wording on my blog. Google may not have it indexed yet. I came up with the wording and right after I put up the site, I received you email on your new design. I’m a bit concerned since your blog is established about the closeness of the wording in the two blogs.

Nice design, Yaro. I especially like the rotating pics in the exotic locales.
Hey Yaro –
I think the site looks great! But I’m not as worried about the “looks” of your site as much as your amazing content. I own much of my own online knowledge to you and your suggestions.
Thanks!
I do like the rotating pics at the top. Very inspiring.
Nice. Keep it up and thank you for sharing!
-Sean
Hi Yaro, I want to congradulate you for your new look, or should I say the new look of this site. It looks more like a blog. Thanks again for all your great tips and info.
Regards,
Chantal, QC,Canada
You have a very nice design! I made the mistake of designing my own blog, spent over a year of having headaches and learning CSS coding and the likes. Now, I’ve been seeing all the most successful bloggers and site owners using wordpress which I’ve contemplated using before I started creating the blog! So i’m kinda upset about that, but if I’m ever able to start a new blog I will consider using wordpress or hiring someone like Nate. Your blog is really awesome, design and all!
Looks awesome!
Yaro, I really appreciate the help you have given me. I’ve listened to many podcasts and read much of your material. Maybe its my age, but I prefer a clean and simple design. This one seems just a bit too busy for me. However, I am not likely in your target market so its best to shoot for the biggest demographic.
Looks wonderful Yaro! Well done.
Hello Yaro,
The new blog design is awesome! I really like the picture of the Greece sunset. I don’t know if you remember, but I’m the one that was called, ultralight on Twitter when you were traveling and asked everyone if you should go to Egypt or Greece. I suggested Greece and you must of decided to go there. I like the islands and the architecture of the buildings. The pictures are just beautiful and add a POP to the blog. Unique Blog Designs did a super job!
On my webpage the “Recent Podcasts” is partially covering up “Learn how to make money from blogging” at the bottom of the page.
Cheers,
Rick
Yaro,
I like the contrast – as a former art student, I can certainly see the power of “complimentary colors” – that is, the blue and orange contrast.
Overall, it looks a bit cleaner, and invites vistors to dig deeper.
I found that a few elements loaded a bit slowly – the header, for example, took quite a while to display correctly. Might be my browser, though.
Lee, Blogger’s Workshop
This was very slow to load, maybe it’s just me. I prefer less fussy design, but when you have a lot of info to get across what else can you do? Good luck with it anyway.
Great design. Love it!
your new design rocks. really worth the investment. i love it!
It is nice and I can see that you integrated a lot of the social media like the YouTube, Twitter, Flickr photos and the podcast. It is really cool.
Good job Nate and your team members.
I love your new blog design – much better that the old one and well worth the slog.
You are certainly doing well for yourself thanks to your personal effort and success as an entrepreneur. I think the new design gives the reader a better sense of who you are as a person. The new design showcases the creator of the bog better then the last, which is great for “branding” and identification all leading back to the creator.
The new design looks good. You are now one step ahead.
Ahh I know Nate, I follow his blog
That’s awesome though, I really am loving the new design. So far the only bug I have noticed is, not all the comments show up on a single page, and when you hit the “next comments” button it remains the same comments as before.
Till then,
Jean
I really like the new design. I like the organization of each page. So far, so good! Amazing shots you got here!
A very nice design, hopefully one day I could afford to own such a nice designed blog
Yaro, I really like your new site — and I hope it’s working well for you! Any chance you could tell us what you’re using to get the cool signup loading at the bottom of the browser? One of the things I tell all my clients is to make sure the bottom of every page tells the reader what to do next, and this is a great tool to make that happen! Thanks for all your wonderful ideas.
Nice design Yaro.
Awesome design! Love it!
Your site has great content, but ANY professional graphic or webs artist will tell you that the site is incredibly ugly, chaotic, confusing and downright unpleasant to look at! Aesthetics don’t change, whatever the media. There is elegant, beautiful, cool, pleasant, easy on the eye and there is horrendous and ugly.
CREDIBILITY is at issue here, because I for one lose total trust in something so graphically-challenged and without any taste as this site/blog.
Please understand this is nothing personal, it is just about professional presentation. Who wants to eat a meal that looks like dogfood?
Asa
Hi Yaro
Well – What an improvement!
Much cleaner looking, very fresh and much easier to read.
It looks really new and crisp – Kudos to Nate – very mod!
regards
Graham in U.K.

Love the images of sunrise or maybe they are sunsets – either way – very beautiful.
Also love the big font and open structure. Would have liked to see more colours around the site – but thats just me – I love lots of colour!!!
Your content is always good value – and thats what keeps us comming back . . .
I love the photos – it makes it real and makes me even more determined to live “The E-J Lifestyle”!
Have you completely removed the “Print This” plugin? I will really miss that!
Thanks Yaro!
Sandra
Like the blog design.. its taken me ages to find a design a like.. and i’m still not happy!
I like your new design, Yaro. Unique Blog Designs’ work is truly outstanding, I am a great fan of their craftsmanship!
I love the new design, especially the images at the top. Anyway what ever your design is i will continue to follow your blog because you give very helpful information for internet newbies like me. Thanks Yaro!
Hello Yaro.
Like the redo, especially the rotating pics in the header.
I actually just had a little tweak done to my blog, not a lot mind you but a little bit here and there.
I’ve been away from your blog for a while, I just stopped by today and saw the new design. It looks nice way to spice things up Yaro.
Congratulations, your website new look is fantastic!
Im not sure what the old design looked like but im liking this one as it is, its very nice and easy on the eye. Well done to the creaters and you for using it!
Great design. I like the layout.
I need to start from somewhere. I’m doing an art and design course at college and my last project is titled ‘abstract journey’ and we can do ANYTHING on it. We’ll receive NO help this project.
I must comment on how clean the design is,brilliant compared to some of the busy messy sites around at the moment
