I've been pondering a lot what would happen if email was no longer useful as a marketing tool.
As much as we lament the fact that Google controls so much of our traffic, most online marketers have to face the fact that we also rely heavily on people opening and clicking the links in our emails to make a living.
I'm not a fan of being too dependent on anything with my business, which is why I have begun thinking about what I can do to diversify my traffic sources and how I engage my audience (that's you!).

I'm Launching A Magazine, What About You?
As I mentioned in my previous newsletters and blog posts, I've begun working on a new magazine for the Apple Newsstand on iPhone and iPad.
This is one way I hope to diversifying how I reach new people and engage them with my content, not to mention it is also a source of subscription income.
The magazine stand could potentially be a very powerful way to connect with your audience because of the ability to send "push notifications".
I don't know about you, but I pay good attention to those little boxes that pop up on my iPhone giving me updates, and I want my magazine to do that too.
Ed Dale has just opened up his MagCast/Digital Publishing Blueprint system, which teaches you how to create a magazine and also provides software to upload it to the Apple Newsstand.
