Your blog is So Good Looking (not to mention the great content) that I simply must have it! Continuing Congratulations!

Actually, my blog, with Thesis Theme is adequate AND I have backed off the “How I made money online” plot and have gone over to the dark side.

I’m building small niche sites, stacking them up on Hostgator, pinning on a certain keyword, and offering them something they SHOULD be interested in!

It’s more mechanical and less creative, but I’ve made some money and I want a new motorcycle and airplane, plus some “walk around money”.

Interesting concept and I am sure it will be enjoyable to see how it goes. Woothemes also started to do this exact thing a about a month ago, I guess its contagious Nothing wrong with copying what works I suppose.

I found a cool free wordpress blog them. I wish I know how to make my own but I don’t so I want to use one from topwpthemes.com but I cant figure out how to upload it to my blog I am building on word press. Can you help me?

You make a good point….perhaps as the site gets bigger they will add categories. A lot of the time theme preference really comes down to what niche it would be used for.

I’ve been watching Nate and his work with wordpress blogs, and I’ve always been impressed! I also keep up with him on his personal blog, he really does fantastic work! This theme wars concept is pretty unique, I am sure it will be a success =D

I am in the midst of re-designing right now. It was a hard decision whether I should switch to WordPress or just keep doing my site with html. Actually I still havent decided yet, but this themewars is a good idea, and maybe I’ll get more ideas

I like the idea of designers competing with each other to produce their best. Ultimately customers win. Seems different from asking designers to do spec work which I hate.

IMO, if you want to use your blog for anything more than a personal journal, you do need to invest in a custom theme. The money spent is well worth it. With a little bit (or a lot) of tinkering under the hood, a custom theme will allow you to create a unique online presence. That can go a long way in establishing a strong brand for you and your business.

Nate is a good guy. His company makes some great themes. I wish I had the money to invest in a custom made theme for some of my sites. For now I am stuck using free themes and stuff I design on my own. The only problem with that is that I have little artistic talent.

An original theme is a must in my opinion. Maybe during the early stages of a new blog it’s ok to use a free theme. But soon as traffic begins to grow one really should either invest the money to buy an original theme or make your own.

This was a great piece of information. I found it really useful because I myself own a blog. Therefore, having a unique theme makes sense as it helps to stand out from the crowd. People will be more attracted when they land upon my blog and might want to read more if they are satisfied with the content, of course….

I think the Theme Wars ideas is excellent. It will allow great designers to come through and shine…and give them some deserved exposure.

One reason I purchased my theme (which is not custom) is that it makes things much easier to change once ‘inside’ WordPress. It’s so easy to change the layout, colors, etc.
