Fever

I hate being sick, I really really hate it. I woke up this morning with a fever and spent most of the day sitting in front of the TV watching Star Trek TNG. Not a bad way to spend a day all things considered but the feeling like crap thing is a real drag.

If Wil Wheaton can complain publicly on his blog, then hell, I don’t care how off topic it maybe, I’m going to whinge about being crook too! Not that Wil was really whinging. He turned his case of mono into a motivation to sweep away some of the cobwebs in his life and rededicate himself to what really mattered to him.

Being sick can do that. Whenever your ability to function as a human being is hindered you really realise how nice it is to be healthy. Don’t take it for granted people, get out there and achieve your dreams today because tomorrow you might be stuck in bed watching borg.

Here’s to waking up feeling better in the morning.

I always take 2 horseradish and garlic tablets at the first hint, then one a day foe about 3-4 days. Seems to stop most things in its track. Not as viable once it takes hold though.

    Get well soon!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the well wishes. I’m definitely feeling better this morning. Not quite right but I’m not burning up anymore.

Ron – the temp is about low 20sC during the day and at worst it gets to about 6C at night but that’s rare, it’s usually low teens.
