In yet more proof that it is possible to make big money through Google AdSense another blogger, Jason Calacanis, reports that his blog network, Weblogs Inc, is now on track to make $1 million per year in AdSense revenue.
yesterday we broke our $2,100 record with a $2,335 day. That’s an impressive number I know, because if we can take that number to $2,739.72 we’re atâ€â€wait for itâ€â€$1M a year.
For some perspective, take a look at some averages:
January we did $580 a day on average.
March was a $737 a day average.
May was a $1,585.57 average. Now, before you get too excited let me tell you we’ve got 103 bloggers on the payroll and nine staffers here at Weblogs, Inc. We’re a big, little company… so to speak. Plus I gotta pay for Peter Rojas’ gadget habit (let’s just say it ain’t pretty)!
However, if you follow those numbers we tripled the average in five months or so. Not sure we can triple every five months, but I think we can get this to a $3,000 to $5,000 per day average by the end of the year.
Weblogs Inc is a great idea that I’m glad to see take off. It’s basically a collection of blogs reporting on a range of topics. This business model allows over 100 bloggers to get paid for writing and as you can see the AdSense revenue, while probably not enough to cover all the expenses, no doubt covers a big chunk of the yearly payroll. The fact that they are also learning how to better leverage AdSense (or are just lucky!) to steadily increase the monthly income quite dramatically shows that AdSense can be used to help fund a business.

Yaro, what can I say! WOW!
Anyone want to start up a blog network?
They must have some serious traffic to that site.
Again…all it takes is a niche:
knitting blogs
magician blogs
student blogs
senior blogs
pick a niche and form a free blog network…
What happens when there is a new “next big thing” and adsense is no more? Will they be able to earn enough money to pay those emplyees?
Well if the next big thing replaces adsense then presumably they would then start using the next big thing to make money and if it replaces adsense then it’s probably better so they will make more money.
Not bad!!! Yaro how are you doing with your adsense? hit the 1 million mark yet??? lol,,, keep up the great work Yaro love the articles…
Here in Germany we have today 34 degress,, chill out weather..
Yaro - you should make the next big thing - yarosense!
Wow…that truly is amazing. Glad to see that someone is taking a chunk of Googles money.
Taking a chunk of Googles money! nooooo … they are giving them more money and take a little bit for them selves … collecting some fish and making them have babies and keeping a few babies for themselves.
I really enjoy this blog - good work - we’ll be in touch in the future i’m sure. I got a nice flag to fly soon.
My random advice of the day: don’t get caught in the pointless details!
Yaro,
if you don’t mind answering questions: how exactly is weblogs inc business model working? They host all blogs, get adsense traffic and split the revenue? Does every blooger get the same cut? Haven’t found the details, maybe you know more or where I could look. Thanks.
Chris - well actually they are making Google money with each click and hopefully bringing customers to the websites that are advertising - win - win - win, if everything worked out perfectly.
Bernhard - Sorry I don’t actually know much about Weblogs Inc. I’m actually curious myself too since I like the idea of being paid to write a blog - I wonder if weblogs inc is hiring
I’d say though that it is run as a business, with an advertising revenue strategy. The bloggers are paid freelance writers most likely and no would not split the revenue from AdSense since that goes to the company.
[…] I recently posted a link to a story about Weblog Inc bringing in $1 Mil per year in AdSense revenue. It was a popular story circulated by many other bloggers too because people love to hear about people making money online especially bloggers making money online. When the specific dollar amounts are released then people are even more interested. […]
I thought I read somewhere that writers at the Weblogs Inc. network got paid per post. Something like $30-40. Again, I think I read it somewhere, I could have dreamt it too so take my guess with a grain of salt
If that’s not inspiring you to work on Adsense, I don’t know what it. Very awesome.
Wow, I never tought that someone(some company) would actually earn so much in adsense.
I’ve just joined adsense few month back and after I read this entry I expect that I can do the same too, just need some hard work on it.
Is there any lastest tips on google adsense?
Thanks.
If you do some google searching for AdSense tips you will find too much information
