WP does have plugin to do that, as do many of the open source CMS, blogs and shopping carts. You can also utilize Google Analytics to gather a lot of that type of data.

Many people should take this into consideration. Finding out what people are looking for, and tailoring things to that is a great tool to help any web master, owner, entrepreneur, etc. out. Also, there are a few programs which keep track of visitor's habits. Best exampe is entry pages and exit pages. Creating a web site which is very easy to navigate and seeing which pages your web site is losing potential clients, customers, and members is crucial information. Streamlining the process is important.

Blaine - thanks for the link. Looks like it will do exactly what I want - provide the search phrases people are using to search my blog.

I'll report back once I've tried it out.

Cheers!

I use SearchMeter, a wordpress plugin:
http://www.thunderguy.com/semicolon/wordpress/search-meter-wordpress-plugin/

It suits my needs fine. If there are no results when they search using my internal search bar, then I provide them with a google search bar.

If you put Google AdSense for Searc on your site you can track top queries data. I think you get top 20 queries.
