So back ontopic. My current plans are to do something with RSS marketing and localizing some popular concepts for Holland. I also got a blog on my wish list but I have never found time/motivation to write beyond the first post. However I plan to write a new post this week… I hope.

My plans are already working; we rent an office downtown and it looks great. Small, but great. Well, it’s very small, but still; it is great.

Now we have a place to meet with clients and we may launch some web application on 2006, so I will keep you and all entrepreneurs-journey readers informed

Well, my plans for this year is to double my income AND to launch the web service I work on in my *other* free time.
I quit full-time job exactly a year ago (plus a few days) and the my first year as an entrepreneur was quite challenging.

My plans for 2006 eh!?

Well i am going to continue developing my business, SoftwareSquared.com, and make more contacts in the software industry to offer complete software packages and solutions to my customers.

Personally, i am going to learn to drive a motorcycle - Something i’ve wanted to do for the past few years. Take some investing courses and that sort of thing. And do more charity! Oh yeah and continue to grow!

The plan for me in 2006 is to become an independent entrepreneur before even getting to the worries of working full-time for someone else… sounds good doesn’t it?
I’m applying for a 5 year uni course (commerce/computer engineering), however I can cut it back to 3 by dropping the computer engineering. However I believe by this time next year I’ll have deferred uni for a while to spend more time on business ideas and projects (if indeed they do takeoff).

So the priorities will be:

1) Business ideas (working on them with a partner)
2) Socialising, having fun at uni
3) Uni course study (meh, I’m only using the course for a bit of extra knowledge and the experience of uni)

So there you go: from $4000 in the bank, to, hopefully, a couple of $100k and success!

Hopefully by the end of this year I will throw my hat in to the full time blogger/entrepreneur ring.

In 2006 the main things I want to accomplish are launching many more sites with many more pages of content(2500 posts by the year end). And networking(this just might be the hardest, but i’m here, right!) The income will follow.

2006 will be a challenging one for me because i have multiple things to do at one time.

1. My consultancy - Currently im a Mutual Fund consultant and working as fulltime on my own. in 2006 i will need to increase my client base and close at least one 1 mil deal

2. my IT business - http://www.expletus-solutions.com was established back in december 2005. 2006 will be the year that my partner and I need to increase our client base and come out with a product by June 2006.

3. my blogging - diversification is on the way. http://www.financially-independent.net was launched early this month and i’ve been blogging there quite consistently. looking to improve my blogging in 2006 and to turn into problogging.

4. internet income - i’ve been thinking seriously about this. so far, it has been ok. i’ve been researching and taking part in multi affiliate programmes. will learn so much along the way. 2006 will be my 5 figure internet income year.

I believe that i will be able to focus and make all my goals materialised. because i so believe in Multiple Sources of Income

I’m going solo in 2006 as well. I’ll be graduating from Yale this year in May and unlike most of my fellow students, I’m not going to be going to Law School, Med School, or Graduate School. I’m going to be working for myself!

Thanks for the mention.

Everything is going well so far and the software product is starting to take shape and is looking good. Still loads of coding to do though.

Amazingly, since going full time entrepreneur, I’ve met heaps of other like minded people at parties and bbq’s over the xmas period - and a few opportunities for other income streams and partnerships have arisen. So things are looking bright!

I am about to sell my 50% share in my company and start a new business with my ideas
I can’t wait.

My business goals this year are to…

1) Double my income working 4 days a week
2) Establish 3 additional streams of passive income, however small.
3) Stress less!

Thanks for the inspiring post. It’s great to see from the comments how many people are taking the plunge this year and I’m proud to join their ranks. I quit my job on December 15th and don’t plan to go back. I’m planning on selling my skill set on a contract basis until I can grow an income stream that sustains me. Wish me luck.

I went half and half last year. Registered as a Sole Trader (UK) while still working full time during the day. I actually love my day job and have no plans to give it up. For 2006 I intend to expand my affiliate marketing profile and get some serious networking in place.

Well I am almost done with my first year of only online income. Previously I was in school or had another job, so I didn’t have the time to commit full time. I have a wife, but no kids so like you it isn’t a huge feat. However, it’s still cool to be able to goto my favorite coffee shop and work there =P

Yaro: This is the one thing holding me back from taking the leap. As a father, taking a risk with our primary income stream - i.e. my wage - is terrifying. However, it may just come to that at some stage this year.

My goal is to continue on the successes I have built and further my entrepreneurial journey. I hope to be able to quit my full time job this year and perhaps even set myself up to be an employee again next year by becoming a mayor.

Well, found this blog a little late, but my aims for this year are:

1) Sell 3000 copies of my new educational product Complete School
2) Win some sort of significant competition using Complete School (whether that be a literary competition, a business competition, or a achievement award I am not fussy )
2) Submit my PhD thesis for examination
3) Have my PhD accepted
4) Make sure none of these activities take away from socialising, family time, and sport.

I took a big leap into entrepreneurship two and a half years ago and spent the next two years wondering what on earth I’d done. I didn’t enjoy that time in my life at all, but hey, it’s all worked out. I attended a course after we’d bought the business which included wealth profiling as a part of it… got the results and it didn’t take me long to figure out why I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing, so made some big changes, put the business under management and started following the 6 steps that suited my wealth profile. Now, all’s sweet. I make enough passive income for me and my family to live and spend my time in another project which I love. From slave to the time clock two years ago to pretty much retired in two and half years… very cool!

As a long-term entrepreneur I have primarilt\y focused on education related information products that appeal to the 30 to 50 age group and to career changers. I will launch several new sites over the next 3-6 months to help others learn how to maximize their learning efforts through brain entrainment and subliminal learning.

Yikes! Found this a bit late. However, my goal for the year was to develop a cutting edge high school computer science curriculum rooted in web design and Flash game development. I teach web design and business courses and pretty much think the textbooks and support materials available are garbage. My work is almost complete, but I keep making revisions. I hope to have everything finalized by the end of the ‘06-’07 school year. Then. . .I guess I’ll just post it somewhere and hope it can be used by someone.

Currently a college student and do not have a family yet, so i beleive me taking this type of step torwards self employment is a good idea. I do not have any expenses right now. Thanx for posting this, as i love to read other peoples ideas and interests. More and more people are starting to do their own thing and take the plunge with all of us, that is rewarding enough. It shows that i am not the only one who has this vision. Praise to you all, hopefully you all will be successful.
