Total Raised So Far: $73.25

It’s time for another charity drive…well sort of. I can’t really consider myself a charity but I am asking for “tips” to help get me to the Blogonics Blogging Conference Boat Cruise.

If you have ever learnt something valuable from either of my blogs (or better still, made money) I’d appreciate a thanks in the form of a $tip.

To qualify for the boat cruise early bird discount I have to book by March 15th so this is a one week attempt to raise funds. Coming from Australia means it costs a lot just to get to that part of the world, approximately:

$2000 for the flight and $1200 for the cruise.

I am hoping to raise as close to $3200 as I can. Of course I will be blogging about it too.

What’s In It For You?

Ahh, good question. I never ask for something for nothing and of course this time is no different. I’m offering links and banner advertisement positions on both my blogs – Entrepreneur’s Journey and Small Business Branding). Here is what you will get depending on how large a tip you leave.

$Any amount – Your name and website listed in this blog post.

$50 – Your website listed for TWO months as a featured site in the sidebar.

$100 – A TWO month rotation of your 468*60 banner (subject to content approval).

$200 – A THREE month rotation of your 250*250 banner (subject to content approval).

$500 – A blog post on both blogs devoted to whatever you want (subject to content approval – must be business related, can be an advertisement for your business/website).

Your site will gain some valuable backlinks and exposure from being linked from my blogs and remember my blogs are PageRank 5 and 6, and your link will feature on all the articles – that’s over 700 pages in total.

Plus you get my thanks for helping me to attend the cruise.

How To Help

After sending payment be certain to email me with your name, how much you donated, your website URL and anchor text for the link. If I do not get these details I cannot link to your site.

Tips are taken through Paypal.com or through bank deposit (email me for bank account details).

Donate

If that button doesn’t work make a Paypal.com payment to yaro@betteredit.com

Posting both your bank account and routing numbers is very dangerous. I was once asked for this info and my bank manger advised me to never give it out.

I’ve had bank details posted online for years. The worst someone can do without my permission is make a deposit, which I’ll happily let them do.

There’s no money in the accounts anyway because I always transfer funds into high interest earning accounts immediately.

Although now you have made me paranoid, I’ll remove the details…

    Yaro,

No seriously bro.. posting your bank info online is not a smart move. Identify Theft is HUGE business and being that it is a “victimless crime” according to most statuts…the criminals get like 18months if that…I mean what is 18 months if you can sell someones identify for a few grand over and over and over again.

Not trying to make you more paranoid or anything.. But all these news stories about people disappearing on cruises.. You know they don’t have to report incidents to the police once they are in open water..

Those people who disappear are in reality sold into slavery. I once met a man in a pub who knew someone at work whose cousin in a far away city had this happen to his neighbor.

    :shudder:

Thanks Natalye – to be honest though as you can see by that total moneys donated it wasn’t going to get me on that cruise, however I appreciate all the support I did get and I hope all the sponsors got some traffic in exchange for their donation.

I don’t think I can afford the cruise but I am going to Canada later in the year.
