9charitiesI’m a member of a really cool blog network called 9rules (or community as Mike Rundle calls it), and this community has just launched it’s latest project to leverage the talents of the individuals in the network to help others.

9charities.org is a simple idea. Within the 9rules Network we will select 9 charities every year and build their web presence and provide hosting. 9rules happens to be filled with some pretty top-notch designers so it’s good to see the talents being used to help others. I for one am all for more initiatives like this coming out of the blogging community.

More! I want more! Let’s work together and make the world a better place. “VINNIA eXtended” is VINNIA’s corporate social responsibility.

Come on everybody keep up the good pace!

Yaro Starak you ask previously why we lukers don’t comment. I didn’t actually feel for it earlier. But know, after this post, and I say it with my hole heart:

Yaro you are doing a great job. You could probably be less greedy (it shows, but hey it’s a free world) some times. But with this post it doesn’t matter any more. It made me go Yahooooooooo!

A fantastic idea! When do you expect to select the first 9 charities? And how will you decide who will be working on the different charity projects?

    Hi Phi,

It’s not my project, it’s part of 9rules.com, the network I am a member of. Maybe Scrivs will pop by and tell us, or of course stay tuned to 9charities.org for all the details.

    Yaro,

This is a really cool idea–solid web presence is what 9rules does best, and so they are giving in the most efficient way possible to charities.

Is there any way for non-9rules members to participate?

Michael – you may want to check with the team behind 9rules.com, they are better equipped to answer that question.

    9charities: Trying To Give Back…

I talk with my guys at 9rules a lot about the big picture. Right now many people see 9rules as a blog network, however we never really saw it as that even when we dreamed the idea up about one……
