		<description>I don&#039;t actually agree that 50-70% of traffic should come from search engines. There is no &quot;rule&quot; you can apply regarding search traffic and it&#039;s silly to do so.

I have some sites that 90% is search traffic but if I did more offline marketing then for sure that ratio would change.

I have others, like this blog, where less than 40% come from search traffic but it changes every day.

The fact is that search traffic is wonderful and it&#039;s worth optimizing for it. However I don&#039;t think it&#039;s accurate to say there is an expected amount you should receive because there are just too many variables at work.</description>
