Yaro – try Calgary instead! We’re far friendlier. lol Oops, okay I’ll retract that comment and say that we’re more laid back out West. If you ever have a chance to, come out and see the mountains – they’re astonishingly beautiful.

Yaro, the Annex is a great place. I had a friend there, years ago. It’s a tough place to get an apartment or room, but if you get one, it’ll probably be nice. Watch out for the tall white apartment south of Harbord, on the west side on Spadina. Cheap places are in Parkdale, but it can be a scary area. (THough I’ve lived there twice and with no incidents. It’s close to the CNE grounds, too.) Though if you’ve already been to T.O., you probably already know these things – so forgive my blabbering.

I didn’t see anything about how long you’re staying in Toronto, but I may have missed it.

I have been splitting my time between Indianapolis, IN and Charlotte, NC lately and the media coverage of Steve Irwin’s death has resonated among the people here. He truely impacted the American culture in a positive way.

I find your input about cable and broadband very interesting and how it really has become the norm here. I can’t think of anyone that i know that doesn’t have at least cable and only a few that don’t have digital cable with braodband internet. Then when I am at a friend’s apartment and get on his wireless, I pick up 8 other wireless routers other than his. A few years ago it wasn’t like that.

Anyways, enjoy your stay in Canada. Are you going to have a opportunity to get down to the US?
