Thanks for the insight. My problem is not a lack of opportunities but rather the fact that there are so many. This combined with the fact that i’ve got a lot of interests makes it hard for me to start in one place.

What i’ve decided might be a good idea to do is to draw up a life plan that helps me take stock and simply clear the mind.

I’ve been developing websites and applications for other companies recently but it seems to make me want my own system more and more. Most web development is quote-based and highly saturated.

I agree with you about limiting yourself to a select few things because over time you’ll be able to draw and improve upon this more and more. I am reading a lot of self improvement and self knowledge books and information lately and i figure sooner or later i’ll be on my way.

The problem is not the lack of opportunities, the problem is choosing which one to pursue, that suits your personal goals and talents.

In in doubt, at least do something AND focus only on that something until it works or you stop completely, definitely don’t attempt to do many different things at once – trust me, it’s not a good system to have your fingers in too many opportunities at once especially as a solo-preneur.

Excellent to hear that you are doing well in your ventures. That is truly amazing… i’ve been working away these past few years and going through hardships and learning experiences and its good to see that there is “light at the end of the tunnel” though this is no end by any means. Any tips for a guy who is searching for an opportunity he knows is out there?

Ririan – You have blog doing 200K unique visitors after three months! If that is true you are doing tremendously well and should be doing more than $1000 per month for sure!

Christine – Thank you for the feedback and you have some interesting niches there! I have to admit I have been surprised with how I have made money from blogging because it’s certainly been from multiple streams in terms of different affiliate products and so forth, but you can never be sure how much is coming from where.

The point I wanted to congratulate you on was employing a stay at home mum.

There are millions of intelligent and capable women out there ready and waiting for work at home opportunites that don’t involve stuffing envelopes and scams. I think anyone that runs a business should consider this avenue for finding employees.

If it’s an issue of finding these mums, then consider giving a shout out on popular parent blogs and website

What an excellent entry! I really appreciate your practical reporting and transparency. I don’t precisely market over the Internet: I’m a professional freelance writer (high tech marketing) and get my assignments from referrals and networking.

My yearly gross is fine, but because clients often pay late this is very much a feast-or-famine cycle, and I want to set up multiple revenue streams that I can count on. I’m not in the Internet Marketing field for exactly the reasons you counted. But your advice is very timely for the two niche areas I am interested in (personal growth for Christian women and vintage jewelry).
