I’ve adopted this new lifestyle called “working for fun”. It basically means I work as a contractor on some traditional jobs (like project management, training etc) and then take time for myself to work on less lucrative things that I love! It can be a bit of a balancing act, but it means that my Miller’s time isn’t so much about relaxation, as stimulation… (although there are often a few champers included as a reward.)

Adam – you sound like you love to work.

Luc – I wouldn’t call mini-golf that much of a work out, then again maybe you play a bit harder than I do!

Emmanuel – it’s funny that you have to stop and *focus* on taking time off. Amazing how structured our lives have become that we need to focus on relaxation as much as work.

Hey Yaro,

I’ve actually been switching courses in life these days. In the next year i am looking to start developing a base for this business and have yet to tell a soul about it because i am getting my “ducks in a row” so to speak.

I completely understand what you are talking about when you say “When I take time off from computering I like to do something that involves exercise since the endorphins and physical health benefits are good motivations.” I actually got out this weekend and played a little mini-golf with a date and rented a few movies and worked out on an eliptical machine. When i workout i feel much more centered then usual.

I often find myself in this same situation. I am presently working with a telco while I also run my blog and some online solutions. I have been thinking of a possible solution to keeping my blog up-to-date during what seems to be long Christmas break.

Anyway, I guess I would forget about this for now and focus on taking some time out to rest and prepare for 2007.

Ah Miller.

Being originally from Milwaukee, home of the original Miller Time, (Miller Brewing Company, Beer, the good stuff), I must say that it’s always good to take a Miller time. It was a great commercial back in the 80′s and 90′s and every time I go back to visit the folks and my ride from the airport to their house I see multiple billboards exclaiming that it’s Miller Time!

Been reading your blog for ages it is top stuff.

I am the same to you.. I have been frying myself between two websites and a job and it’s been killing me. I’m holidaying to Sydney for a week on Friday, should be excellent.

Anyway, my website Jonk’s Bargains has just been threatened with defamation lawsuits.. I just thought it would make for an interesting article topic.
