Notice: This post has my affiliate link.

I’ve been so busy writing my series on professional blogging that I haven’t kept up with this launch, but I know many people who read my blog have closely kept an eye on the Pipeline Profits launch.

I wrote about the start of the launch in this article -

Pipeline Profits – A Million Dollar Internet Business With No SEO, No PPC And No Affiliates?

Today is launch day for the product and since I’m so late you only have about two hours left to buy. You can view the sales page here -

http://videos.pipeline-profits.com/

If you want to buy the product you better get in quick since there are only a couple of hours left as I write this, but I think (hope) the free videos are remaining online longer since I want to finish watching them myself.

I’m sorry Yaro, I just can’t get on board with this product. No, I don’t know what it is or does. I just see the website that knocks you over the head with all the ‘ you must act now’ hyperbole of a late night infomercial. As soon as I see this sort of marketing, my eyes glaze over and I just can’t take it seriously. If anyone buys this, I hope you get your commission, but I really don’t see anyone making money from this except the guys selling Pipeline Profits. This is just my opinion, but I don’t think this product has earned the right to be on a premium blog like yours.

I understand the need to generate an income stream. However IMO this post is nothing more then an advertisement. I think you have an excellent blog unfortunately article’s such as this reduce your credibility immensely.

Please take this as constructive criticism. The quality of the articles you are producing are great and you cover a good range of topics. I do however think that a little more research needs to be carried out before you recommend a product or service. Thanks for in the most part producing such excellent content.

Hi Mark and Marc – Thanks for the feedback.

At the moment promotions like these are the second highest earners for this blog, and while I don’t like to post too many (believe me, I say no to 9 out of every 10 I’m pitched) I will continue to post about them now and then.

The guys behind product launches like this make the biggest bucks for sure, but they are also very generous with their commissions for affiliates, which is something I appreciate.

For instance Pipeline Profits has earned me at least $3000 in affiliate commissions thus far (I think – not confirmed at this point) – which is a full 10-20% of the yearly revenue of this blog. I wouldn’t blog here if the monetary remuneration wasn’t available to motivate me as well as the intrinsic rewards I receive.

As you can see, some people do buy so it is worth my while to talk about other people’s products.

As I’ve said before, if you don’t like product launches or Internet marketing products please ignore them.

If you get nothing out of 100% of my articles then by all means, don’t read my blog, but I think you will miss out on a lot of good stuff if it’s just the product launches you don’t like – 95% of my blog posts are not product launches.

Mark – I’ll try and provide more critical discussion next time. I must admit in this case the window to promote the product was closing and I didn’t have time to write up anything significant. I had just spent a few hours on my problogging series so I was fairly spent. I apologise for this.

I can tell you one thing – it is very, very hard to promote Internet marketing products successfully and blog in this industry without offending some people and keeping your credibility intact.

I’m still trying to find a balance that I am comfortable with and I know I won’t be able to please everyone.

Hi Yaro, thanks for the tip! And to say something about Marks comment on credibility:

I don’t think articles like these will hurt Yaro’s credibility immensely, we all recognize Yaro as an affiliate marketer, and a good one at that. Year’s of building credibility and a good reputation won’t get flushed down the drain over “Pipeline Profits.”

This is what Yaro had to say to me about this:
“…In my case if it’s interesting, relevant, has the potential to teach something valuable – even if it’s wrapped up in hype – and I have the inclination and motivation to write about it, I will. And yes, part of that motivation is affiliate sales – I am an affiliate marketer afterall…”

Yaro, always a pleasure reading your blog! We can learn so much.

My original reason for commenting: I have gotten through the video series, but only the first of the camtasia videos. Personally, they did not really impress me very much. While I am sure that they have a great process, I have no need to try to sell things in this manner at this point in my career.

In response to other comments: I do not see that this particularly hurt Yaro’s credibility, but nor am I interested in the product. I’d just normally skip over the article and move to the next, especially after being inundated with pipeline profits emails over the past couple weeks. And this is after I unsubscribed from 90% of my newsletter subscriptions from previous product launches.

At least here at E-J, the signal to noise ratio of good content is much higher and I can expect that the next 10 or 20 articles will at least be interesting if not directly relevant. Trying to expect Yaro to meet all of my needs with every article is just plain silly; it’s not his fault that he has a pretty good track record most of the time. Well, it is, but we shouldn’t hold that against him.

On another note, a lot of times when I know that Yaro is an affiliate for something, I will usually come here to use his affiliate link specifically if it is something that I intend on purchasing (such as the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript). I figure that his content is worth more to me than the multitudes of others that promote products to me, and I didn’t have to give him my email address in order to benefit from it.

I can’t really afford to be throwing a lot of money at these launches, though, so I usually just ignore them once I see what techniques they are using to try to sell them to me.

I take your point Yaro. It’s a good one and I think you have handled it well. I think as you mentioned, critical discussion of these offers is why people will continue to turn to you. I think the comments on this thread have been enlightening.

    Hey Yaro,

Although I don’t bother with their co-reg program. (I highly think that stomper net is great though.).

I second your opinion here. While I am not a professional blogger, I do recommend products on my blog, and I am sure that you only choose products who can make people money.

There is absolutely no harm in earning commissions from affiliate products, and like you I’d say it’s a good motivation to continue blogging.

My blog is more affiliate marketing products related, so I don’t have remarks when I promote via my blogs.

    All the best.

The quality of your blog makes me read your posts almost everyday, and you must continue your promotion to live after all!

How you write and eat without money?

On the contrary, the fact that you still promote shows me that you have cedibility.

Blog or not, we are in business and we need to grow.

This lauch was completely botched! I purchased this with the best of expectations, and after they changed their return policy from 364 days to 30 days, a bunch of us complained and suggested they atleast extend it to 90 days since we would not have the course material until days 20-25 at the earliest, and 5 days is not much time to guage success of a system.

They were kind enough to terminate my account without so much as trying to resolve this, and days later after me inquiring why I was terminated finally offered me a refund.

I almost forgot to mention, I took a payment plan of $685, and they charged my card $735 instead! All around I would say avoid this system. I have removed myself from the lists of most of the people promoting it to me.
