Hi Yaro,

As an attendee I agree with most of the comments here. I think Rich just bit off a bit more than he can chew and the company is not in a position to run without him yet.

I was also a first timer and got loads form the networking. You can always get the mountain to come to you in Australia rather than having to come to the US.

He’s released the presentation he was supposed to be doing and there is a lot more new content that will keep people happy.

Having attended the conference I agree with your comments. The seminar was poorly organised, badly run and the content delivered was amateur disorganized and appeared ‘thrown’ together.

I do believe Rich as a one to one consultant is outstanding, however, as a group offering his organization leaves a lot to be desired.

Plus to actually say that when building a business you WILL have to upset your customers to bring in revenue was unbelievable. However at least he was consistent on that point… he did upset a lot of customers over the weekend.

Sorry Rich, we run a multi million dollar business based in the UK and were looking forward to your ‘strategic’ overviews and discussions that would take us to the next level; that won’t be happening anytime soon I feel.

I felt that Rich was nervous and disoriented. Now that you mention that he changed his presentation last minute it makes sense. I agree that the material presented didn’t really build on what is found in his .pdfs, but that said, I always enjoy having the message reinforced. I could probably watch the same video of Rich once a week or so and be better for it.

It was good to eat lunch with you on Saturday, I wish we could have talked more about your businesses.

As an Elite member of Rich’s group I was able to attend his seminar last October. Overall, the format this time was more structured but the content level just wasn’t there. I have to agree with you, especially about the first day — I don’t mind motivational talk and entrepreneurial mindset discussions, but when compared to the items that we didn’t reach on the list… it was a let down.

The people in attendance are definitely the reason to go.

To those wondering if they should take Rich’s coaching program, please understand that his seminars are nowhere near the equivalent of the program itself. This was in fact only his second seminar and I expect they will become progressively better.

Sitting 2 rows behind you on the first day I have to agree with your “opinion” of the confernce. The networking was the best part and usually is!

The one thing I can say that was good was finding your blog!

I think that Rich’s advisors made a mistake, because the content of the live streaming was basically the same as what he released 6 months ago with his initial program. There was very little difference between this live stream and the google video of a seminar that he did where he basically said the same exact thing. I watched the entire thing, figuring that maybe the last hour or half hour at least would have something new, but basically I felt like I wasted my time since I watched what he did the first time around. At least my desk got a little better organized, though.

I used to live in that area, and I know all the hot spots to go (well, a few at least) but I don’t try to give you directions since you probably will be gone or on your way out before you check your comments. Have fun!

I signed up for the live presentation and I was very disappointed. I thought it was going to be something new, instead the vast majority it was the same stuff that I had already seen in his ebook. I tuned out for most of it and only turned up the volume when I thought I heard something that was different. If this was a first intro to Rich then, I guess the live presentation was okay, but as someone who had seen his material before, I wondered why old stuff was being rehashed.

One of the main reasons I am an avid reader of your blog is your objectivity and honesty–characteristics that are unfortunately still not common among authors of Internet marketing publications.

If I am considering whether to purchase a product, I usually visit your blog to see if you have reviewed it. Although there are a lot of differences between you and Dr. Ralph Wilson, you remind me of his thoroughness and commitment to “tell it like it is.”

Your post today about the Rich Shefren conference is an example of the truly informative and helpful nature of your blog. I’m sure that not only will readers like myself benefit from your report but, as you mention, Mr. Shefren himself will have the opportunity to gain valuable “continuous improvement” feedback from your remarks.

(In fact, this will also be a great opportunity for him to demonstrate his character in how he responds to your critique. If he gets all defensive and minimizes problems that will tell us something as will it if he expresses appreciation for your insights and is accountable for the conference’s shortcomings.)
