Remember how I told you about Russell Brunson’s free DVD in this post - Get Your Free DVD From Russell Brunson - Dot Com Secrets?
Back then when I wrote it I was still studying my way through Rich Schefren’s materials and working in Canada. Now that I’m back in Oz I’ve got time again to study more Internet marketing materials from the best, so I’ve just spent the $7.95 shipping fee to purchase the Dot Com Secrets DVD. You also get a free consultation from a “millionaire development coach”, which should be interesting :-), and a copy of Russell’s print magazine.
I already have the first edition of Russell’s print magazine being an affiliate of his, and I must say I was excited to see a real glossy magazine dedicated to the Internet marketing world. There isn’t anything like it out there and it reminds of my days when I was younger collecting video game magazines, enjoying the anticipation and reading about upcoming games more than actually playing them. I’d show you a scan of the front cover, but it’s not here with me yet, it’s on the way from Canada along with a bunch of books I chose to ship back home because I didn’t have room in my luggage to take on the plane with me.
The print magazine is pretty good, but I still like Perry Marshall’s Renaissance Club print newsletter better because, so far, it is more practical and advanced and focused on direct marketing. Russel’s magazine is on the whole Internet marketing industry so you get everything, from copywriting advice, SEO, PPC, site design, etc. I’ve only seen one issue, so I won’t pass judgement yet - hopefully having a window into how Russell runs his business will be the real killer offer from my point of view.
I’ve been hearing more and more good things about Russell, and like Mike Filsaime, I find their Internet marketing rise to riches the best case studies to follow if you want to do the same. I learn so much from watching these guys do what they do and studying the materials they publish.
As always once I get my hands on the DVD and some more copies of the magazine I’ll be certain to report back to you my opinion of them.
If you can’t wait and want to get the DVD now, Russell has 3000 available currently for only the price of shipping. You can order it from here:

Do you have a screen shot of the magazine? Or where can I get to see how the magazine looks like?

Hi Alvin,
I do…just not yet. My copy is in transit from Canada. Once it arrives I’ll scan it and stick it up on the blog here so you can check it out.
Yaro,
There are a few affiliate marketing magazines that I have seen that are pretty professional. I haven’t paid for any subscriptions, but I have had quite a few randomly show up in my mailbox or post box as a “professional courtesy” that boosts their subscriber numbers for their advertisers.
I don’t know if htey are available on your side of the Pond or not, but next time a few show up I’ll see if they have websites where you can look at them. I usually browse them, read an interesting article or two, and throw them in the recycling bin.
That’s got to be worth the price of postage, I’m glad you mentioned it.
I used to be the same with computer games magazines when I was a kid, I’d read every single word and the ads were often the best part (there may be a lesson there).
Blaine - I’ve never seen any affiliate mags in newsagents, no, but perhaps online you can buy specialised publications, I’ve never really looked before.
I find magazines more entertainment than education, which is fine, but like I said, I get more actionable strategy from a focused newsletter like Perry’s.
