Hi, Yaro:

Can you comment on www.requestfill.com ?

Seems like its search engine is more robust and unbiased and very powerful.

The vendors are qualification based, all enterprise level.

Can this search engine pass VendorSeek? I heard RequestFill will add user/client rating to the providers, as an element to the search engine ranking.

Dean,

I'm glad that you were able to get the level of service you were looking for from vendorseek.

For our company and quite a few others as I've seen online the experience has not been the same.

When we signed up we were just told "read the website" and we did. But there's a lot of potential for ambiguity on their terms.

For example we setup our profile and told vendorseek the dollar amount that we wanted (leads with a budget of 5,000 to 10,000 only), and for a few leads in particular customers said that they couldn't afford that. So we'd forward the email communications to vendorseek and ask for a refund. The problem with that is that vendorseek wouldn't give us a refund.

In fact the only refund we received came after 7+ emails asking for it, and finally going to the bbb.org. We were put on hold, disconnected during our conversations, on and on.

If we had a good experience we would have continued to place our marketing dollars there (whether we saw payoff in the short term or long term). but we just didn't; we were jerked around and we have nothing to show for it.

I do want to know what YOU did differently, maybe that would make a difference. Or maybe you're just a vendorseek rep attempting to "patch" things up.

I have used VendorSeek a few times since the summer. It has been tremendously advantageous to receive leads without having to take more money from my (minimal) ad budget.

Each representative I have spoken with thus far has been very helpful. They take their time in explaining the procedures and letting me know exactly what I should expect.

I just received a call from them not too long ago in regards to my satisfaction and the status of my small business. The rep actually was able to reference some great Web sites as informational resources. I will definitely continue using VendorSeek.

Heres an update on vendorseek. During our relationship with vendorseek we returned 12 leads because the prospects:

- Weren't interested in web design.
- Didn't have the funds to pay for the project (even though we set requirements with vendorseek ahead of time to ONLY give us leads in our price range)
- Customers were unqualified and only "TESTING" vendorseek.
- Customers with incorrect contact information (when we told vendorseek the email address was incorrect they said that it was only one digit off only to find later that the email address was completely false.

On December 20th only 1 lead out of the 12 that we returned was "approved" by vendorseek. They told us that we would be credited.

It is January 5th and we STILL have not received our credit. Sure its only 40 bucks for the lead but its OUR 40 dollars. Yet even though they agreed to refund our credit card we STILL have not received it.

It's quite frustrating to deal with this company. Mark Bergstrom and the employees as a whole are difficult to deal wtih. You ask for a returned phone call and it takes a few days. You email him (or the employees) and they respond with vague answers. It's incredibly difficult to get issues resolved once they have your money.

Our experience with them has really been unpleasant and frustrating, and I'm disappointed that our firm did business with them.

We're a web development company. We used vendorseek for two months. We thought that this was a quality company that would offer quality leads. But we were wrong. Once we started to pay for leads from vendorseek we started to see what kind of leads we were receiving.

We would receive leads that:
- didn't want web design (even though thats what we were paying for),
- leads that weren't going to pay the price that vendorseek told us they would (the amount the prospect is willing to pay determines the price vendorseek charges its advertisers),
- and people that weren't even looking for our services.

We received leads where people only wanted to work with someone local. Not something that we could control so we returned the lead. Vendorseek refused to refund our money. With Vendorseek they will find a way to reject each and EVERY lead you return so that they don't have to issue a credit or refund.

Our company paid 40 dollars (per lead) for prospects that wouldn't work with us because we weren't local (seems like something vendorseek should have screened for), didn't have the money, weren't even looking to redesign their site, were just "testing vendorseek", or were our competitors. We will be canceling our account and we will not use them in the future. Learn from our company's mistake and don't use vendorseek.

That seems like it could be a good service that is worth looking into if you can't fill your needs based upon your own network.

I'll have to keep them in mind next time I find myself in that sort of situation.
