Product Launch Formula Arrives

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday long weekend if you have one this weekend in your part of the world. It’s a very slow weekend based on the traffic numbers I’m seeing to websites, so you all must be doing other things offline – good for you!
In my case I’ve having fun doing non-business related things like parties and golf, but I did have one cool business thing arrive in the mail this week that I’ve begun browsing through. It looks like this:
Yep, Product Launch Formula (PLF) finally arrived and WOW, it’s a big package. Jeff Walker sure packed in a bunch of stuff into his flagship product, it’s definitely the largest Internet marketing product pack I have received so far.
Here’s a summary of what is in the PLF pack -
- The product launch formula DVD
- Two large product launch spiral bound text manuals
- Nine CD-ROM tutorials covering product launch fundamentals, the pre-launch sequence, the launch sequence, how to do a quick launch, an underground launch and a compressed launch, and a questions answered CD

- A two CD interview with Jason Potash
- A two CD interview with Mike Long
- An interview CD with David Frey
I’ll do a proper review of PLF once I finish going through the materials, but here’s a little introduction into why I bought it.
Why I Bought It
I bought PLF initially for ideas for the launch of the Blog Traffic School course, my Blog search engine optimization book and my Blog Mastermind mentoring program. This year is all about getting my blog traffic products out the door and available to the public and creating a solid business around blog teaching and training.
I expect many of the techniques in PLF will be beyond my resources initially at least, but hopefully with each new product launch I can put on a bigger “show”, release more great information to the market and build more buzz. I doubt I will do everything recommended by Jeff Walker, since the product launch process can be absolutely massive if you implement it 100% (think about the scale of Internet marketing product launches like Pipeline Profits, StomperNet and Strategic Profits). I expect to use MANY of the ideas and fully believe it will be responsible for thousands of dollars of extra product sales, so well worth the $997 investment.
Launching Non-Internet Marketing Products
One day, when I get this whole blogging and Internet marketing thing out of my system and I venture forth into more lucrative non-Internet marketing niches, where of course I will still use Internet marketing techniques to sell online, the products just won’t be related to the make money online industry. By then I expect, thanks to experience and the training provided in PLF, that I will have a strong grasp of the product launch process and million dollar launches will not be out of the question.
I wonder what industries I will end up in…
As you can see I view Product Launch Formula as a foundation course in the Internet marketer’s toolbox, something if done right, can lead to million dollar sales. This is a course that every serious Internet marketer needs to have on their shelf for reference purposes, for training staff and for relying on when going through the launch process. Now I just need to get through it all!

I got my copy of it a week and a half ago or so, and I have been working my way through the materials. I’ve listened to a lot of the bonus materials you can download after purchasing it, read most of the first manual (I skimmed the samples to revisit when I’m ready to launch something), started on the transcripts manual, and gotten through the first 5 or 6 audio CDs. There certainly is a lot to it; my game plan is to get through all of the material as fast as I can, and then to go back and take notes on the second time I listen to/read everything.

Jeff Walker seems to have done well recently! I got mine a few weeks ago and I must admit I’m really happy with it. It’s just one of these tools that you should really have if you’re serious about being succesful online. Look out for a great bonus interview with Michael Cheney where he gives some very specific information aboout what software he uses.

I’m on the last audio CD and started on the CD-Roms; my plan is to continue going through the bonus CDs when I get done listening to teh David Frey interview.
I’ll keep a look out for the Michael Cheney interview.

I have a question: 3 month ago I built my first website. I write about the US stock market. And I give recommondations about how to beat the performance of the stock market with stock options. My first challenge is now, to get more traffic. Maybe your blogmastermind is a good place to start my journey. My main question is:
I want so sell my service in the future. And my question is, if the program from Jeff Walker can help me to launch a membership site, where my members have to pay a monthly fee for my recommondations.

Dominik – yes, it can help. But, it will take a lot of work. You can’t just buy the product and expect to be an instant guru; you have to implement what is in it and you have to back that up with a quality product or membership that you are promoting.
Hi Dominik, As Blaine said, Product Launch Formula will give you the tools in terms of strategy and tactics, but you have to go out and make decisions and take actions in order to make things happen.
If you currently have gaps in your knowledge as to how to get your product out there and make it a success Jeff’s product will help, just don’t expect it to do everything for you.

Yes, Jeff’s product will help with putting together a cutting edge product launch business strategy – but it doesn’t include software. For that it may be worthwhile considering Mike Filsaime’s PayDotCom considering what you are looking for.

I´ve heard it yesterday, that Jeff wrote about the stock market.
Did he stop his newsletter about the US market?
I know that to launch a membership site or a newletter advisory service needs a lot of work. I am ready to do it. At the moment I work on three different things:
1. Build a professional website.(I am not so happy with the design and I will delete Google Adsense)
2. Write good content and trade live. So that everybody can see live how I trade the stock market.(At the moment this is my only income. So everybody can watch how I am trading for a living). This is the hardest part. The hardest time in my life. The first time I don´t have a job. But maybe my opportunity to change something in my life.
3. Get traffic

I don’t think he’s actively involved in the market at the moment – but that’s not because it wasn’t lucrative – it’s for other, personal reasons.
Anyway – I think that the best thing that you can do now is create a freebie – and give it away if someone subscribes to your list.
Why not produce a ‘watch me trade live for 7 days’ set of videos with Camtasia as a freebie to build your list with, work on your product, then launch your product late september to your list & affiliates?

yes I will do it. A great idea. Today I spoke with a new webdesigner. He will build me a new design with acces only for members.
My goal is to launch my service at the end of the year.
At the moment everybody can see my live depot. But I think I will change it. “Watch me trade live-Free” ….Or: “Watch my live depot-Free” is a great idea. Thanks. I think, if someone wants to see what I do, then he should give me his e-mail adress and I send him the link with the live portfolio.

Hi folks,
I bought PLF last year – over 8 months ago and have to admit I got really bogged down on the first CD. I guess I didn’t have a burning need for the material.
I did listen to the audio cd’s in the car and they were quite good. But I just couldn’t focus on the actual course material. Too many other distractions.
Anyway this week I shut off my email, phone, Skype, etc. and managed to get through all the cd-rom’s. I think it was about 9 hours of content.
Now I feel much more confident in the process and plan to use it to relaunch our product – it’s been in eternal “pre-launch” for months.
@Dominik – consider making a free “watch me trade” but delay it by one day. This is what Jeff did with his zone reports. I don’t know much about trading but I guess the delay idea is common. Then you can upsell your free list to pay for the “real time” service. Just an idea.
