New Audio Testimonial Recorder – Please Leave Your Message

While searching around for an option to take audio testimonials for my upcoming BlogMastermind.com mentoring program (you can join the early notification list here I stumbled across this neat little audio recording widget you can install on your blog.
It’s called, or soon will be called, MobaTalk (currently MyChingo.com is where you get it) and there is a free service that lets you record two minute messages. Using a little player you embed on your blog you can let people leave messages for you, which is exactly what I just set up on this blog. You can see it down the right sidebar and it looks like this:

I’d love to hear from my readers, so if you have anything to say, or would like to leave a testimonial of what you think of my blog, please hit that “leave a message” button and record your thoughts. Also make sure you include your name and blog or website URL so I know who you are and where to find you (it’s also free advertising for your site – so don’t be shy!).
I manually approve all recordings, but provided you keep things clean and stay on topic I’ll approve your message as soon as possible and it will be public for the world to listen to.
Now let’s see who is first to record a message…

Thanks to Jonathan for the first audio recording, which you can listen to live now in the right sidebar.
Cheers Jonathan – you have to let me know where you are from in the world too!
Hey Yaro! so i’m the first one to leave you a message, way cool!
I’m from Montreal, Canada. Keep up the awesome blogging Yaro! Take care
I did try and leave a message but the thing just kept hanging up on me. I just wanted to say i do wnjoy your blog and have been reading it for a while but of late you havent been posting much apart form reviews. We want more YARO
Hi Sharon, I don’t know why you had problems with the audio. It does require java for your browser, which should download if you don’t already have it.
When you say you want more Yaro – what do you mean? What would you like more of?
I haven’t written many reviews in the past few weeks. It’s been my pillar series on the sales funnel and the odd bit of news here and there.
Interesting article, but I doubt if I can customize this widget for my blog. I don’t want to give away it’s integrity…..
Hey mate,
Have a good Xmas
Best Regards

Hi, I wanted to let you know of another way to collect audio testimonials. You can sign up for an account at http://www.LifeOnRecord.com. You can provide people with a phone number to call and record a testimonial for you. The recordings can be podcasted into iTunes and individually downloaded to be incorporated into a website. The advantage is that the only technical skill the user needs to have is the knowledge of how to use a phone.
I’m the owner of the service and you can let me know if you have any questions.
It seems that there is alot of Audio ad this and audio ad that lately. The internet is pushing more and more toward sound. Ebay,Google, net audio ads and more are getting involved. Cant wait until 10 years from now

What a great way to personalize a blog and share information.

truly amazing the things people are inventing these days.I am going to install this on my blog and see what the responses are like. thanks for the link
Awesome! I’ll definitely have to try that one out. Man, Yaro, I miss being in Blog Mastermind. It’s one of those things where while you’re doing it, you don’t realize how special it is – but then you get out and you really MISS it. I’d almost go through it again just to have the experience!!!
Thanks for all of your hard work,
Eric Grey

Hi Yaro from Dallas, TX.
Great thoughts on the power of audio. I just read another blog in my field (direct marketing) that tests the impact of video in increasing response rates. It’s an awesome tools.
The technology is there. We just have to take advantage of it.
By the way, I could not get your audio to play in any of my Mac browsers including Firefox version 3 for OS X (10.5.4).
Thanks for a very informative blog. I’m also enjoying your newsletters.
