I wonder if I just publish an apple .mov file whether that would work, since I presume ipods play MOV movies.

in Camtasia 4 you can directly export to ipod format. See the screenshot at http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/publish.asp

Good show on finding and promoting Camtasia Studio. We all have a tendency to try and get everything open source or free, and in many cases it works, but if you are doing videos for money, for my money there is nothing else that even comes close to Camtasia … it’s worth the purchase price and more.

One thing many folks probably don’t consider … in business or academia we frequently work with many decks of PowerPoint slides. Camtasia Studio is much, much better thna PowerPoint itself for putting together self-running PowerPoint slide shows … often a great way to translate off-line briefings/sales presentations to on-line “semi-live” web sites.

Vido – iPod videos – how do you do that?

I am using Camtasia for my videos too. It’s a great piece of software and it enables you to export in a variety of formats, including the ipod format.

Speaking of which… Yaro, are you going to make your Blog Mastermind Videos available in ipod format too? I love consuming content “on the move”!

I have to agree with Tim. I’ve used Camtasia on numerous occasions to create everything from small 5 second Flash screen animations for my websites to full length demonstrations like Yaro’s. It is very easy to use, although for the first time user it might take a few hours of dinking around with it to get up to speed. It isn’t cheap, but if you want to produce great content with little hassle, this is the way to go for sure.

There is also a free alternative named CamStudio. I’ve tried it to produce some videos. The controls is not that elegant.

I can really say about the quality because the computer i used to produce those are a bit older. So there is a bit of jerkiness.

But if you want a free altenative, i think that is the only one.
