The success of Blog Mastermind has been a tiny bit quicker than I originally anticipated. We recently hit the 300th member and so I’m seeking a virtual assistant to join the team and help make Blog Mastermind the best mentoring program for bloggers available.

Update: Applications close Monday 9th of July

Note: At this point I prefer someone from Brisbane if possible. If no one from Brisbane appropriate applies, I will open up applications to other areas.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AT THIS STAGE IF YOU ARE NOT IN BRISBANE.

Here are the details for the job opening -

Title: Virtual Assistant
Hours: 20-35 per week, variable schedule, work from home, weekend availability preferable
Pay: Hourly rate will be negotiated – can expect a consistent $1500 – $2500 AUD per month on average, plus of course, free Blog Mastermind membership. May become a full time position for the right person.
Duration: Initial 3 month contract for trial period, then renegotiated.
Tech Requirements: Must have your own computer and a broadband Internet account.

Job Details: This is primarily a support role for me (Yaro) and the Blog Mastermind students. Daily tasks include replying to helpdesk tickets, responding to student emails, moderating and interacting on the member forums, uploading content to the membership site, error checking member content and systems, sourcing and working with freelancers and various other administration tasks.

Also includes general administration assistance such as coordinating blog sponsors, uploading files, making small changes to web pages and other technical tasks.

Initial training will be done in person with me, once the training is complete, ongoing communication will be via Skype and email working directly with me on a day-to-day basis.

Skills required: Must have strong customer service skills and basic web site development skills. You must be familiar with FTP, Cpanel for server management, domain name management, basic HTML and PHP a plus. Also must know how to use MS Word and Excel and a quick study for other software packages and online tools.

If you are a technically orientated person, familiar with web site maintenance and computers, possess strong customer service and communication skills, and can work flexible hours from home, you are ideal for this role.

To apply: I’m not a super-fan of resumes, so please spend most of your time detailing your skills and experience relevant to online customer service, web site admin/maintenance, technical qualifications and why you would like to work with me IN AN EMAIL addressed to jobsATentrepreneurs-journey.com.

Please also include your resume for reference, however I will be using your email as the main criteria. Please include links to relevant sites/references to back up your credentials.

NOTE: A love of blogs and blogging is a serious plus!

I look forward to your applications and good luck to all.

Yaro Starak

PS. If this job is not for you, but you know someone who might be perfect, do them a favor and forward the link to this post to them.

WOW! Congrats Yaro for being SO busy! You’ve worked so hard *not* to work so hard, that this shout-out should definitely lighten up your load, and give you back the lifestyle you enjoyed prior to your launch ;-)

What a great opportunity to all who apply!

Hey Yaro, you should have just dropped by and I would have got a number of my team to contact you – I have many VAs in Brisbane – expect to hear from some of them!

Great Kathie – I haven’t had too many applications yet, so I look forward to seeing some from your members.

If I don’t have any luck via this blog post I might be in touch.

    Yaro,
in the event you don’t find a viable candidate in Brisbane, would you consider someone from outside of Australia? I’d like to apply, and feel I would fill the position nicely; however, I am in the U.S. and your requirement of initial in-person training may make my application a moot point. I thought I would check with you before I bothered you by adding another application to the pile.

    Thanks!

Hi Eric – At the moment all I can say is “maybe”. I really want someone who is in Australia or New Zealand if I can’t get Brisbane because I want them to be on the same time zone as me.

At this stage please don’t bother applying if you are not from Brisbane.
