Sydney Morning Herald Covers PageRank Controversy

I had a chat this morning to Asher, a journalist from the Tech section of the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper. He was writing an article about the recent turmoil caused by the PageRank update and was looking for feedback from those affected in Australia. He also had a chat to Darren Rowse to grab his take on the situation.

The article just went live and you can read it here - Google algorithm tweak spooks WWW.

“he had earned $842 from AdSense in September alone. His total advertising revenue from the blog that month was over $10,000″.

I thought you didn’t use Adsense on your blog?

Hey Yaro,

We can all put our minds at rest now. I just got a PR of 3 after 0 and it looks that many Americans and Europeans have yet to discover that they have been gifted by Google. :-)

Nice article there…The PR slaps have certainly rocked the whole internet and certainly the blogosphere.

Hi Yaro,

I read this on friday… I got shocked that SMH interviewed you and darren. I guess the blogging community is starting to make a lot more noise in the public eye.

btw… my pagerank increased from PR2 to PR3… got pretty shocked actually.

Cheers,
Carlo
