I don’t quite understand the pay per click advertising process. I understand how it works but how can I personally get started? If I make an account on Google ad words do I need a legit business? I don’t own a business.

This is great news for all those affiliate marketers.

Although most already have a mailing list, this will definitely boost their income, and I hear some greedy ones are making more than one account on Facebook.

I’ve seen so many of the Facebook ads on Adwords everywhere. They’re really promoting this new program hard!

I’ve been through it a couple times, and it really works well – especially the targeting part. Everything loads in real time. I was surprised, being an average user of Adwords, to see how many restrictions they have. They’re all about the quality ads… each ad undergoes a strict review – pretty different from my experiences with Google.

How much should i pay per click? And what’s a good min budget to set (as facebook is more likely to select higher spenders)

Well, that was a short lived program. I posted a couple flyers when I first read about the Flyer Pro program, but today when I went to check my stats I get this message:
“Flyers Pro is no longer available for purchasing ads on Facebook.
Self-service, deeply targeted ads are now available through Facebook Ads.”

I can understand that – I posted 2 ads that combines had about 25,000 impressions in 3 days and not one click. FaceBook isn’t making any money on this kind of deal.

I have read the PDF guidelines and all, but for some obscure reason, my Flyer got disabled by Facebook. I tried finding why in the PDF, but nothing. I just don’t get it.

Here’s the reason I was given:

“This ad has been disabled and should not be run again on the site under any circumstances. Generally, we disable an ad if it violates our Terms of Service or Advertising Guidelines. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with the specific violations that have been deemed abusive. Please review our Terms and Guidelines if you have further questions.”

When reading this notice you may think I was promoting really bad things, but I swear it’s a campaign I run on my blog, on AdWords and if you check it out, there’s no dating or adult content on my site. I’m just disappointed by their cavalier approach when responding to advertisers. I have emailed Fecebook and will let you know if I am given a more specific reason.

I’ve heard about this on a few other blogs. Some people have been creating multiple Facebook accounts (against the TOS of course) to get past the daily spend limit and raking in a ton of money. Kind of makes me wish I was into Affiliate marketing but right now I wouldn’t have a clue what to promote.
