Yes it is really a good tutorial. But in your video you are using version 2.6.4. If you need to upgrade to the latest version say 2.8.4, how to do it? Any videos pertaining to this?

You’re a lifesaver, Yaro! I’m recommending becomeablogger.com to all the members in my site as well as those who read my blog, Mediation Mensch.

Mediators are shy about marketing but blogging is an excellent way for potential clients to ‘get to know’ and hire a mediator they feel comfortable with.

TzuVelli – Blog Mastermind is reopening as soon as we finish the renovations behind the scenes.

We’ve completed the updated to the members resources area. Now I’m going back over the lessons to update them and we also have to install a new affiliate system.

Once all that is done we will reopen. I think another month should do it.

Hi Cheryl – I think you will find that load time is usually helped by having a good server.

My blog is on a virtual private server, so there are not many other sites taking the bandwidth from it.

Installing the WP-Cache plugin can help wordpress load times too.

Hi Yaro: I understand that your new site is for beginners. I was there once upon a time. I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a blog FAST loading …yours starts to load immediately upon the browser getting the url. I notice many word press blogs are slow loading and wondering what is behind that. Is that a changeable thing?

I have always been reading http://www.howtospoter.com/ which is Alex Sysoef who has been a “godsend” for me as I learned to blog. He is a wealth of info on wordpress and another blog that loads quickly.

Will you guys tell us your secret…

I am currently vacationing in Florida and I am loving every moment of it. (Jet Skiing,the beach,etc ). All my attempt to download the videos proved abortive which make me to wonder how difficult it would be for those in developing countries to view those videos.
May I humbly suggest a corresponding text versions of these videos.

The videos are very thorough, I wish I had seen this when I started my first WordPress Blog! It would have saved me some serious time, great job Yaro!

Here is a little bit of info for people who started out on the Blogger platform and don’t want to give up on it in order to start a WordPress Blog. WordPress is awesome, don’t get me wrong and I highly recommend it over any other platform I’ve seen to date because of how user friendly it is.

But don’t throw away the work you’ve already accomplished. When you switch to WordPress continue to post on your other blogs but only leave a real short blurb and let the readers know if they would like to read the article in it’s entirety please go to… whatever your new blog name is. Make it a habit to leave 2 links in your blurb. The first in to whatever your offering and the other is to your main Blog.

The reason for placing your call to action link as well as your main blog link in the blurb is to accommodate two types of buyers.

The first type will eat up what you have to offer simply because it’s from you. They don’t need anymore info because you haven’t let them down yet, you’ve delivered every time!

The second type is the person who needs to be convinced; needs more info before a purchase so the link heading back to your main site will accommodate them as well…

Also, don’t forget to place Google AdSense in your Blogger platform. What better way to fund the hosting costs for WordPress than have Blogger pay for it!

Yaro, this is great!! I am working on a team where a couple of people had no idea how to set up a website or post content and I thought, wow, I’d love to help, but where would I ever find the time?

I’m pretty technically savvy (I work in IT), and I’ve figured out WordPress pretty much on my own. I’m looking forward to watching these videos because I know you’re a great teacher and I’ll learn plenty.

The best part is, though, I love WordPress, I know how powerful it is as a platform and this will be a fabulous way to turn on my new team members to how to use it.
