Back in December 07 I closed the doors to Blog Mastermind. The reason I did so was to upgrade the back-end system that delivered the course and the affiliate program. I’m pleased to say the upgrade is done.
I’m in Toronto now. I haven’t quite found where I am going to live (I’m with family at the moment), but I have settled back into a working routine and my focus is opening the doors to Blog Mastermind to take a new group of eager blogging students on board.
The course will open to new students again in a few weeks. I’ll let you know the exact date very soon.

Make Money Promoting The Blog Mastermind Training Program
Blog Mastermind has been closed since December 10th 2007, so it’s nearly 6 months since anyone was allowed in.
There is serious pent-up demand for the program, so much so that I’ve already had a bunch of people ask how they can join Blog Mastermind and I’ve told them they have to wait.
This represents a great opportunity for affiliates who have an audience who are interested in blogging, making money online and Internet business. If this is you, then put aside some time in the next few weeks leading up to early June to participate in my relaunch by writing a few blog posts and mailing to your email list if you have one.
The program pays out 50% recurring commission on monthly membership fees. Our retention rate is very good because I’ve had a year to refine the training and add new materials. It’s a solid six month course and there really isn’t any blog specific training system out there like it today, taught by someone who went from no-one online to become a professional blogger.

The new affiliate system completely replaces the old one, so even if you are already an affiliate of mine you must sign up and create a new account with the new system. You also have to replace your old link with the new one you receive after you sign-up so we can track your new sales.

I Make Money While I Sleep!
I’m working on that Ian. The problem is I use 1shoppingcart with AWeber for opt-ins, so at the moment I can only offer clicks and sales, not opt-ins.
You are welcome to use your own link tracking though.
Hopefully I’ll at least have some overall opt-in rates soon, but that won’t be specific to any one affiliate.

Yaro, what are your thoughts on someone promoting your program without being a member themselves? Do you think it’s ethical for someone to promote a service they have a good feeling about, but which they don’t use? If so, how would you suggest they do it? It seems that a blog post saying “join Blog Mastermind, just like I didn’t” wouldn’t be that effective!
Obviously it’s not as good as being able to talk about something you have intimately studied yourself, however that doesn’t mean you can’t for example, just promote the blueprint, which is free so you can study that.
I’ve promoted products I have not used when they come from people I respect. In many cases the product would be not so great for me anyway, either targeted at beginners or providing a service I don’t need, however that doesn’t mean my readers are in the same situation.
What’s important is that you don’t make things up. You promote what you know and what you can say with confidence and talk about who you think the product is right for.
Affiliate marketing is all about getting the targeting right - to match the right people with the right product. You personally cannot represent every single subscriber you have - we are all in different situations - so if you limit yourself to just promoting what you personally use, you miss out on a lot of opportunities, as do your readers.
Sounds like school all over again - but much better and something I’d really enjoy.

I joined the affiliate program joyfully. It’s been training all this while, now is the time to test some of the marketing skills. The good thing is that I can promote anywhere I offer sound ADVICE! Yaro, great to have the opportunity to promote your product. We have promoted our website thru craigslist. We post several hundreds of ads accross the US with the CraigslistAutoPoster Software. As long as you are not “spammy” this is great software to use.
