I’m in Toronto living in the suburbs at the moment, trying to find a sublet somewhere downtown.
That means I have to catch a long subway ride to get into the city and whenever I have a commute I like to use my time productively.
Thankfully, Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett were kind enough to send me a copy of their new print book, titled Problogger - Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income - which I have been happily devouring on my train rides.
Initial Thoughts
The Problogger Book is like a condensed version of the Problogger.net website. The style and language is the same and let’s face it, the Problogger website is so darn huge since Darren is so productive and produces crazy amounts of content, it’s nice to have the essentials put into a book in a logical sequence.
I enjoyed the personal anecdotes and background story from Darren and Chris, but unfortunately there wasn’t much of that, which makes total sense of course - the book is about problogging, not the life story of the authors.
If you are new to blogging, enjoy the paper back book as a study format, you won’t find a better book out there on this subject from two guys who know problogging very well.
You can grab a sample chapter and find links to purchase the book from http://probloggerbook.com/

Thanks Yaro, this paperback is a very cheap way of getting some good quality blogging information.
Fun stuff, I still need to get my copy.
*laughing*
First off, T.O. (Tarrana) is a great city! eh?
Second, I am in Germany and it is still the 23rd of May, Tarrana is 6 hours BEHIND us… so I am just wondering what kind of a Blogguru you are?
*smile* I guess all the travelling is effecting your software?
I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of this book. Sounds like a great read!
Yaro,
That’s THE book I’ve been waiting for long - I’ll grab that right away!
Ps. - Yaro, when will you write your own book? Of course there’s Blog Profit Blueprint and How To Start An Internet Business & Make Your First $1,000 Online, but what I mean is the widely distributed one, like the ProBlogger
thanks for the review Yaro - nice pic!
Ha! I agree with Darren, nice picture
No wonder the adage “Readers are leader”. While some bloggers are hailing Yaro for his wealth of knowledge, he is busy acquiring more.
I need to take a peek inside that book.
Yaro,
I always thought people got motion sick from reading on the subway?
I read the book about 2 weeks back and it was very helpful. Most of the content I’d read at Problogger.net already, but having it all in paperback was helpful. It helped me refined my strategy for content creation and sparked many new ideas.
So read it with a notebook handy.
Yaro, if you ever venture out to Hamilton… I’d love to meet with you for a cup of Tim’s.. or better stuff
Yaro,
Even after you have as much knowledge as you do, you are still looking for more to cram in there.
This is especially interesting to me, as it was reading the blogs of both you and Darren that got me interested and inspired me to take that plunge and kick off xtremediy.net . It’s my first blog and I’ve learned much from you, however I think I’ll pick up the book and see what it has to offer also.

Hi
Just like I’m reading your very own “Blog Profits Blueprint” on my commutes.
Keep up the inspiring work!
Cool..event a blogger guru still need to spend sometimes to learn from another gurus. This is something i need to learn from you guys..
Good ole’ GO Train. Maybe I’ll see you one of these days - I take it quite often.
Hi Yaro,
So how was the book, does it keeps you reading on and on?
I read the problogger book this past weekend and really enjoyed it. It was a quick read and very insightful. The book does a good job of providing a road map for new and experienced bloggers as well as providing tips and tricks for those of us climbing the learning curve. I spent a couple hours reading the book and came away with a lot of great information.
Funny idea. This is the first blog i see that gets its own book. New and old media together, seems like a hell of an idea.
[…] finally - Darren at ProBlogger.net who referred me to Yaro at BlogTrafficSchool and they both showed me NOT to be an insular blogger and spread the link […]
