In fairness to you, I haven’t had a thorough look at your content, and should have done so before writing that comment. In fairness to me, there are a lot of gurus promoted here, the common thread being they’ll teach you how to make money with xyz tactic. It gets repetitive, you know?

As to the marketing methods, I’ve learned to get past that. Aaron Wall’s wonderful SEO Book used to have a spammy looking long sales page. When I finally overcame my aversion and bought the book, I learned a bunch. So no, I’m not reacting to Tim’s methods.

Finally, I’m curious what your take is on the effect on your brand.

We have a “membership” program for our software where companies pay every month to use our software. That gives them the possibility to cancel the usage every month and it gives me the advantage that they pay much more in the long run compared to buying.
And it is good to have a regular income that makes it much easier to calculate the business.
The same principle of membership could of course be applied to offline business like delivering dog food.

I have to be honest with you, I get frustrated with comments like yours.

If you look past the previous 5 or so articles on this blog you will see an entire series devoted to good customer service, a series of posts that took me days to write (one of the articles was 5000+ words). After that you get articles about my trip to Vegas, including video content that takes me a while to record and edit. Many people say they really enjoy my traveling posts.

I wonder whether you are reacting to this post because you don’t agree with the marketing methods that Tim is using and you don’t want to see my blog promote him? I can understand that, but please don’t say that every time you come here you see promotional posts because it’s not true unless you read posts like this one in isolation without viewing the rest of the recent content.

However as always, if you don’t like my content please don’t read my blog.

I have sooo many membership plans, but must start at one because need that focus or won’t get any of them up and running! People will also ‘luv’ you if you put the ‘CommentLuv’ plugin too! people comment and they get an automatic link back to their last blog post as yu probably know?
