Amazon sadly doesn’t ship to India, so I can’t really get this book. Does anyone know about any company that will send it to India?

Great review Yaro, I recently did one myself, and I agree…I love it! It was my first book ever on anything internet marketing, as far as physical books, and I couldn’t put it down. I literally read the whole thing and a couple days. Great stuff, and a good read.

Yes he is. If you order the book and claim the bonuses you get a digital version of a chapter about him that he didn’t include in the full book.

His biggest claims to fame are -

- Selling out his gaming site to Yahoo!, which became Yahoo! Games
- Making a bunch with AdSense and teaching people how to do the same
- Creating the Next Internet Millionaire reality online show

I’ll be buying the book for the stories. I tend to be a very “story learner”, and grasp a concept best in a story form. Applications are easier to grasp than purely theoretical concept explanations.

Interesting review. I would probably purchase the book on amazon. But what I have learned in internet marketing is that you succeed trhough trial and error.. Not by blindly following somebody’s advice.

He’s not a scammer, but in the past some people have taken offense to how he markets things.

It happens to everyone who sells online using marketing tactics that no everyone agrees with, for example, forced continuity.

I know that personally, Joel has no intention of ripping anyone off, but when people don’t agree with your methods they like to tell you that and do vehemently.

It happens to me as well – simply the act of asking for money will make some people angry.

I wasn’t that enthralled with Mr. Comm’s Adsense book (but then I was already making good money with Adsense so I probably wasn’t the target audience), but since you are recommending this one (and it’s the price of a normal book and not some $100 ebook, lol), I’ll give it a shot.

Tough to say since I haven’t studied them all. Personally I like what Rich Schefren advocates the most, plus his background is pretty impressive (he’s had million dollar offline businesses), so I’d go with him as a starter.

I like Jeff Walker’s low-key style too.

The painful truth is a lot of the internet marketers of the past were and are scammers.

In sales we’d call them all show and no dough. In marketing we’d say all hype and no substance.

I can’t attest to Joel Comm one way or another, but it brings up a very important truth. Unscrupulous people on the internet reflect poorly on every legitimate business on the internet.

Once a buyer feels they’ve been taken advantage of they are far less likely to give another business online a chance. In fact, they’re even more skeptical because they think if a “big name” is a ripoff someone they haven’t necessarily heard of before must be an even bigger risk.

I think every sincere internet business should circle their wagons, so-to-speak, and do absolutely nothing to promote, endorse, or in any way sell or promote those individuals who they know don’t provide value or have the interest of their clients at heart.

I hope that book includes a history lesson on what “not” to do with Internet Marketing. I remember my days being green about Internet Marketing and I stumbled upon Cory Rudl. His long-page sales pitch was successful and it roped me in. I realized that the day I was reading the pitch was the last day to get the sale price, so I hurried up and bought the product. The next day I want back to the site and noticed that the last day of the sale had changed to that day’s date. I coded websites so I looked at the coding behind the scenes and sure enough they used a low down javascript function to update the last day of sale to the current day’s date.

I’ll never forget this trickery. This was my first lesson with Internet Marketing, and considering Mr. Rudl passed away, it is a shame that I feel contempt instead of remorse for him.
