I think billboards work, within the context of a larger marketing campaign as a kind of reinforcement tool (to help reinforce some of your main points that you expound on in the rest of your campaign), not as an actual means to generate immediate action that can be tracked.

I was wondering, with you travelling all over the US, are you using a B-1 business/B-2 tourist visa or something else?

‘Cause I’m trying to figure what the rules would be for a non-US citizen who makes their income from their own blog (through advertisers, Adsense, whatever), and updates it while staying in the US for a couple of months, thus keeping the money coming in– in the eyes of US law, would that be considered working illegally? Would it make a difference if your blog is hosted in your home country or the US?

And the main question: Who the **** is knowledgeable when it comes to that sort of topic??

@Bob: You get much better street-vendor food in Munich, Germany. I can recommend a visit since I live in that beautiful town for more than 2 years now.

I’m torn between my thoughts on billboard ads. I often wonder if they really do work that well.

Obviously they work for some people, otherwise there wouldn’t be anyone using them, but I also know that myself, as well as others I’ve talked to, don’t notice them most of the time. In order to get noticed, they have to be really flashy.

One type that I do notice is the new LED boards, they tend to get people’s attention because they’re new, but I’m still not sure about the old generic type.

I’d like to read other people’s stories that have used them before.
