I think there’s both a human side and an SEO side. On the human side it’s all the leadership, expertise, and well, authority. It’s when you’re the go-to-guy that people point to again and again. On the SEO side, it’s your page rank and all the inbound authority links. Again, it’s authority.

The common meta-point here is that in today’s world, you can’t claim you’re the authority. The network, whether human or machine, determines the authority. It’s about who points to who.

Affiliate links are not all that bad, that makes somebody want to unsubscribe and all… (although some do unsubscribe if they don’t like what they see in 1 post out of 1000 posts they like, but hey, it’s a freedom of choice )

Even on this post, that is said to ‘only’ have affiliate links, I learn a thing or two from Yaro’s post – i.e.:

- an authority blogger offer one on one coacing – that’s insane!
- blogging is about collaboration and support.

I’m not attacking anyone, but let’s face it – even ‘free’ and ‘open’ content platforms such as Wikipedia and Google Knol are being monetised… this blog IS a make money online blog. If this blog is not making money through ads, affiliate links, or coaching program, who will trust Yaro?

Taking from 0 to 1000 readers are compelling, indeed!

My coaching program contains so much more focused content on the one subject – making money from blogging – than this blog or my free Blueprint provides.

As for the affiliate links….go for it! lol. It’s amazing how many people want to come to your blog to learn how to make money from their own blog, yet get upset when you do the very things you’ve been teaching them to make money from your own blog! Doesn’t make sense to me.

It’s late and I’m tired – but I had to post this comment before I rest! I plan on immersing even further into the trainings you offer or recommend, but first I need to acknowledge the wealth of information I have already received from you, without spending a penny.

I’ve had a vision in my mind’s eye for months of the type of blog I wanted to create. However, I had been struggling in my previous platform, trying to make things work and becoming progressively more frustrated. I also had little if any notion of how to promote my vision once it was built. Then, about a month ago, I “stumbled” on this blog you have created, and from there began exploring the tutorial videos on BecomeABlogger.com.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! In that short span of time I have finally realized my dream in the ScoutForSuccess.com blog – after switching to Word Press as recommended, and then immersing myself in the intricacies of CSS, PHP and HTML to craft the aesthetic look and feel I wanted. Finally, I have an outlet for all my writing and the means to generate the passive income that will enable me to pursue my writing, travel and service goals even further. Like you, I want to share information and ideas with others, about life and business – and the business of life – while I enjoy the financial freedom that enables me to pursue that vision wholeheartedly.
