Jeremy Schoemaker, otherwise known as “Shoemoney” thanks to his famous blog, Shoemoney.com, is a serial Internet entrepreneur.

I looked forward to doing this interview for a couple of reasons. First I wanted to connect with Jeremy directly, as I had not personally ever spoken to him but obviously knew about his blog for a long time, and secondly to hear the crazy stories from Jeremy’s previous business experiences.

Whether by divine chance, or orchestrated intention, Jeremy has enjoyed some tremendous success online. He has followed his passions and turned them into money making web properties, including a site dedicated to cell phone image and ringtones, an online advertising network based on eBay which he sold within four months of starting, and of course, one of the most popular blogs in the make money online space.

This podcast is an interview, but it’s really a story. Jeremy takes us from day one of his Internet career, all the way up to the present. He includes the background story behind the projects that haven’t gone so well and all the inside details and emotions involved during the entire “ride” of every successful business.

Perry Marshall is the first true Internet marketing expert I ever came across. I can’t remember how I found Perry, but he was one of the very early influences on my work online, in particular his email newsletter style.

In this interview you will hear Perry explain how he became an Internet marketing expert, his thoughts on affiliate marketing, why content is so important to success online, why Perry says no to most joint venture requests and lots more wisdom about direct marketing online.

Perry Was The First Marketer I Gave My Money To

Perry’s Renaissance Club membership was the first internet marketing information product I ever purchased. Many of the lessons I learned from that package stimulated some of the very early and most successful pillar articles I have ever written, including my two part series on search engine optimization, which was partially inspired by lessons learned from Brad Fallon on the CDs I got from Perry.

I then went on and promoted Perry’s Definitive Guide To Google AdWords as the very first affiliate product I marketed on this blog, way back in 2005.

Although that first affiliate promotion didn’t do so well, a few months later I promoted an event Perry was running which was offering a 50% commission on a $1500 sale, and I managed to make two sales netting my first ever four figure affiliate income payday. That was a momentous achievement for me and enough encouragement to continue down the affiliate marketing path, leading to where I am today.

What I like about Perry is that he rarely does any affiliate promotions and most of his emails are 99% content with a link to one of his products, if any promotion at all. This style of very soft selling, content-driven email marketing was a heavy influence on my own style of email marketing and I recommend you join Perry’s email course just to see how he promotes his products and delivers value through email.

This audio is the conclusion to my two-part interview with Adam Short, who is an expert at building profitable niche websites.

During this portion of the interview Adam explains the second half of his system, including how Adam builds traffic to his niche sites, how he then makes money from that traffic, how he uses email autoresponders to increase his profits (which can be templated to fit almost any niche) and how he increases his income by adding back-end products.

I love Adam’s system because it’s simple and I also find Adam, as a teacher, easy to learn from. If you appreciate my style of blogging I think you will also find Adam a helpful resource and someone you can learn from too.

How To Profit From Niche Websites By Adam Short - Part 2

I’ve been asked many times whether I own other websites in various niches, all making money. The answer is no, I don’t. All my websites focus on the same niche, and while in the past I spent some time buying and selling websites in different niches, now I focus on maintaining authority in one marketplace.

Today I’m giving you part one of an interview with a man who does the opposite of me. His specialty is creating profitable websites in various niches. In fact, he owns 90 different websites all making money. His name is Adam Short, and in this call you will hear Adam explain exactly how he can build sites and make money from them despite targeting so many different topics.

This Is Powerful Information

I had to break this call down into two parts because Adam and I ended up speaking for an hour and twenty minutes. Adam really spilled the beans about everything he does, including how he chooses a niche (it’s ridiculously simple), how he generates a list of keywords to target, how he gets content created, how he drives traffic and then turns that traffic into money using automated email marketing.

Although Adam is not unique in what he does - there are plenty of niche marketers out there - his system is by far one of the simplest I’ve found and he was particularly good at explaining it on this call. He doesn’t hold anything back during the interview, there are no secrets, and you will even learn what are some of the specific niches and websites he uses to make money currently.

If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t feel capable of establishing dominance in one market and you’re looking for a system of making money with websites in topic areas that you are not necessarily interested in, this could be the answer.
