Blogtrepreneur.com For Sale – Get Into Blogging With A Head Start
Adnan, the owner of Blogtrepreneur.com, informed me a month ago that he had decided to give up blogging and he would be selling his flagship blog, Blogtrepreneur.com.
Adnan has decided to first offer the blog to his readers to see if he can “keep it in the family” and sell it to someone who already reads and knows his blog. If he doesn’t get the price he wants there, he’ll move it to the traditional option of a Sitepoint sale.
You can read about the Blogtrepreneur.com Sale here.
Blogtrepreneur.com is a great blog and nearing 1000 daily RSS readers. Getting 1000 RSS readers is VERY hard, especially in the hyper competitive online marketing and blogging industry, so if you were considering starting a blog on these topics and you want a very good head start, this blog sale represents a great opportunity.
Adnan wants low five figures for the blog. Considering it takes most bloggers at least a year minimum to build a blog to the point Adnan has (or really I should say – most bloggers never build their blog to this point), this is an option for an investor who wants to fast track their entry into the upper levels of the blogosphere and hopefully, continue to grow the site even further.
Adnan states that the site made over $600 in October of this year, so with a low five figures price he is asking more than the average that sites go, but given the sale price of recent blogs bloggingfingers.com ($6000) and Onemansgoal.com ($8500), it’s not that unrealistic.
To be honest I think the site is under monetized as well – I think you could raise the income to $1000 a month within a month or two after buying it and of course I’d be adding an email newsletter opt-in form to start building a list to further monetize the site.
I wish Adnan the best of luck with the sale and if you are interested in buying go check out his sale post.
How To Become A Successful Entrepreneur
By Adnan from Blogtrepreneur
When Yaro asked for readers’ contributions for July, I decided that I should really dig deep into my entrepreneurial spirit to ask myself How Do You Become A Successful Entrepreneur? Now this article definitely is not the be all and end all of ways to become a winner in business online or offline, but some of the points I will make should help you to firmly establish yourself in the world of entrepreneurship, and should hopefully distinguish you from the huge crowd of money-making hopefuls.
Successful entrepreneurs need to see success. Many of the top businessmen around have seen a product and the associated success that could possibly come with it. Take Michael Dell for example. He believed in the potential of computers way ahead of his time, and built a business from his dorm room. Once you have managed to visualize your success, planning the road to this achievement is a must.
If you don’t plan extensively about your new idea or concept, without thinking ahead, you might encounter unforeseen difficulties with management or cashflow. I recommend using a business plan which incorporates:
- What your product/idea is.
- How does it differ from other products and how will it make you become successful.
- Who your audience is.
- What money you need to spend in terms of product cost, advertising, shipping, staff, and so on.
- What profits you are hoping to make.
Perseverance is also key in becoming a full-time entrepreneur. For me, this is essential especially in the blogging field, as in order to maintain a good readership and a good income if you are using ads on your site, you need to post regularly and with quality content. Bloggers in particular are more likely to experience burn-out if they work too hard, and can also experience a drought in terms of traffic if they slacken the pace. A true entrepreneur will be able to prevent the feeling of being “burnt out†if they know what their goals are, and if they love the task of always having to meet deadlines. Discipline is also the key in this field, as an entrepreneur must work hard in order to achieve. We often see “Get Rich Quick Schemes†and let me tell you that in 99.9% of these cases, obtaining money quickly is just not possible. I have finally learnt (through many financial losses) that only discipline and hard work can result in rewards.
Tied in with this is the recognition that you, as an entrepreneur, never consider failure as an option. Too often these days, have I seen businesses or individuals deem themselves failed if they have not achieved a set of targets. Failure simply is not a word in the dictionary of an entrepreneur, as even if a project is not going well, an entrepreneur will find new ways of coping with the situation and will adjust his aims to fit in with the task in hand.
Entrepreneurs also need to manage their time properly. There’s no point in spending a whole day over a task, when in reality it will be cheaper and more effective to hire someone to help you with a certain task, thus enabling you to produce more profit. Delegating jobs and staff and being able to manage as well as bringing in the bucks is a true mark of an entrepreneur and one who knows what he is doing.
A successful entrepreneur must have an air or a grace about him that will demand respect from other individuals. I would like to say that I am a very friendly person, always looking for new contacts and always trying to network with others who share similar skills and attributes. At the same time, you must also conduct business in a very formal way, being punctual, polite and remaining cool under pressure.
Even with all these points, I feel that I have only scratched the surface on the make-up of a true entrepreneur. You may have other qualities which you might deem important, so please let me know if you think I have missed any out. Successful entrepreneurs are never secure in their field, although this may be the same with other “bog standard†jobs, however the rewards that can be obtained from having the mentioned attributes can be really substantial. By working hard and never giving up, you are bound to become a successful entrepreneur, all you have to do is believe.

When Yaro asked me to fill in and write an article, I decided that I should try and answer a question that will in effect make or break an online company -
How Can I Keep Visitors Coming Back To My Site For More?
Hopefully this article should apply to all Internet website owners, from bloggers to e-commerce store masters. Visitors, whether they be unique (first time) or repeat, are essential to a site’s well-being and growth over a period of time. By having a constant flow of visitors, you are enabling more pageviews and so more revenue if you are selling your own products or if you have advertising, and you are more likely to build a solid and sharing community if you own a forum or blog.
There are a few ways in which you can turn more unique visitors into returning visitors. Here are some ideas -
- One of the first things a person sees when they enter your homepage is your logo and branding. This is why many people spend a lot of time and money on logos, due to first impressions from a visitor’s perspective. By having a clean, professional font, or a fun and wacky picture, you are attempting to create a sense of trust between the visitor and yourself. This trust is key in making the visitor feel more at home and more likely to return to your site.
- Tied in with this is the use of personal pronouns (for example “you†or “weâ€Â). By engaging the reader in your webpage, you are being more personal and thus are creating a bond that will hopefully pull in more readers. If you are a blogger, creating a sense of personality can help you to increase your readership.
- Customer service is extremely important in tempting a reader to revisit your site. When someone emails you, you must always be polite and courteous, the same as in a phone call. Go out of your way in order to help your visitor feel comfortable with your company, whether you are selling a product or not.
- Make sure on every page in your site there is a noticeable contact button or link so that readers can get in touch with you if there is a problem or simply if they have any worries or queries.
Happy customers are more likely to refer others through word of mouth, and it is this viral marketing which will help more people to arrive at your site, and which will inevitably keep people coming back for more. However, remember that all marketing is not good marketing. Once one user has had a bad experience, poor reviews can become viral on the Internet and can ruin your business. Make sure this does not happen through your attitude and your business ethic.
By holding certain promotions, you may also find your number of returning visitors increase dramatically. Some examples of this could include holding competitions, where a user submits their contact information in return for a prize. Obviously, once you have obtained this information it would be immoral to use this for spamming and the like, so make sure you also have stringent policies against this. Once you have obtained email addresses use this wealth of information to form a newsletter, where every week you email your list advertising a certain product or service. This will help users to keep coming back to your site for more products or information.
Other promotions could include opening a forum or blog on your site. People always love to read fresh and new content, so make sure there are always new articles and you may find the number of members or comments increasing. Forums are also very good for advertising revenue as they tend to have a very high amount of pageviews as users keep refreshing the pages to see if anyone has commented on their threads or posted a reply.
Even if you try out just a few of these ideas it may be enough to convince your visitors to come back for more. With this can come more revenue and a greater online community which in effect, is the dream of any aspiring business owner or entrepreneur!
