I was given special access to Brian and Tony Clark’s new membership site Teaching Sells as a joint venture partner to see if I felt the program was worth recommending to you.
Every other blogger in my industry has already written their promotional posts about the program during the first few days when Teaching Sells was released. Although I know my blogging peers all work very hard to offer great content and unbiased opinion when they recommend a product, there is also an element of urgency whenever something new launches. As you probably can guess, in terms of affiliate sales the sooner you promote the more you make because you beat the other affiliates.
I was on holiday during the launch of Teaching Sells so I decided to hold off my post until I could actually look inside and review the content, rather than attempt to rush a post during my holiday purely for the sake of getting in quick for maximum affiliate sales.
I’ve just spent some time going through what’s available to members after joining and here’s what I think of Teaching Sells.
Can You Make Money Selling What You Know?

Not to be confused with Bryan Clark who just started writing for this blog, Brian Clark from Copyblogger.com just released a brand new free report as part of the release of his new site, Teaching Sells, a project he’s partnered with Tony Clark to create (I wonder if that’s his brother?).
The report is titled -
Making Money Online (And Start Making Some)

You can get a download link for the 24-page PDF version and the MP3 audio version read by Tony Clark from TeachingSells.com
What Is It All About?
Brian sent me a draft copy of this report a few days prior to launch and I quickly read through it. I knew the report would be fantastic quality given Brian’s standard of writing, but what I wanted to know was what topic Brian was going to cover - what would be his angle given he plans to launch a membership site based on the topic of this report?

I have a special treat for you in my latest Entrepreneurs-Journey Podcast, an interview with Brian Clark, the guy behind the very popular Copyblogger.com blog.
Note the sound quality was a bit sketchy with this recording so I’ve up the bitrate and consequently the file download is topping 20MB. I apologize to all you dial-up users, but I promise you the podcast download is worth the wait. For you broadband users it will be nothing and the enhanced sound quality makes a difference, although it’s far from perfect.
Brian and I recorded this interview late last week so it’s very current and you will learn a lot about the guy behind one of the shining star blogs of 2006. Brian has an extensive background including time spent as a lawyer and an early adopter of the Internet as a tool for commerce. He’s been consulting to web companies before, during and after the dotcom boom and subsequent crash and his experience comes through in this interview. I hope you enjoy it and make sure you leave a comment to tell Brian how much you liked this show because he really doesn’t appreciate the attention :-).
Show Notes
- The show starts with a brief history of Brian’s younger days
- Brian discusses his first Internet ventures - email newsletters and consulting to dotcoms
- Post dotcom crash, Brian talks about the businesses that were left and how they used sound direct marketing principles taken from the offline world
- Brian alludes to some of the previous Internet projects he has worked on how he structures relationships with other talented people to help them bring their talent online

To help Brian Clark prove he’s right, I’d like to let you all know about a good little e-book he’s put together called The Viral Copy Report (it’s free!).
I read the book last night before going to bed and I really enjoyed it. The little anecdotes and Brian’s writing style are enjoyable - I had a good little chuckle at a few of the stories. It’s a well put together e-book with some important points about viral blogging.
In the book you will find:
- The Four Viral Content Categories
- Eleven Strategies for Getting Link Love
- Why Headlines and Storytelling are Crucial
- The Counter-Intuitive Rule of the Internet
- Why Not All Traffic is Worthy
- How to Avoid the Dark Side
Brian blogs at Copyblogger.
