I was at the Business Mastery Secrets conference on the weekend. The person I wanted to meet was Ed Dale, well known Australian Internet marketer most famous for selling his 38 niche sites for $5 million a few years ago. He’s also know for his “underachiever” program designed to teach anyone how to make profitable niche sites.
After Ed’s presentation I went and introduced myself and had a chat. I had plenty of questions to ask but I had to wait my turn since a lot of my fellow attendees eager to join Ed’s program were asking questions about how to make niche sites. Eventually I got my chance and it was great to talk because Ed knows a lot of the Internet marketing guys like John Reese, Frank Kern (his Underachiever partner), Rich Schefren, Brad Fallon (Ed’s on the faculty at StomperNet) and pretty much every top Internet marketer.
Two things make Ed Dale extra special though - he’s a fellow ex-Magic: The Gathering player (he knows Mike Long too) and he’s an aussie. He’s also bought and sold websites, which related to some of the questions I had since I do a bit website flipping as well.
While we were talking a middle aged lady came over to us who had been talking to Ed previously. She rushed over, very excited, went up to Ed and said “I’m your latest mentoree - I so excited, I’m going to make a million dollars”. She had just spent the $2,500 to join Ed’s program.
It was eerie the way she said “I’m going to make a million dollars”. It was clear that the sugar rush was running through her veins and she was entranced by Ed’s presentation and her focus was on getting rich building niche sites.
When I was listening to Ed talk to some of the people asking questions after his presentation he lamented the fact that he forgot to mention his guarantee for his paid program when doing the presentation.

You may recall I wrote about an upcoming business event run by the Jay Abraham Asia Pacific group to be held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. My original post is here: Business Mastery Secrets Seminar in Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne.
To encourage participation the organizers of the event have lowered the initial entry price to just $1. There is a catch of course - if you enjoy the event you have to pay the entry fee eventually. Here’s the explanation:
You’ve got SEVEN full days after the event to decide if it was worth your while to attend. If you don’t think it was, then just let us know and we’ll refund your $1.00. But if you loved every minute of it, then you have nothing more to do, and we’ll charge your card for the remaining amount - not the full ticket price of $496, or even $396, but $296 - that’s still a $200 saving off the full ticket price. Fair enough?
In other words, it’s try before you buy, so really if you have that weekend free you have no excuse not to attend.
Dates and Locations - Brisbane event details changed
Here are the dates for the three events. Note the Brisbane event has changed dates, which in my case is great because it means I can definitely go.

MELBOURNE [May Sat 5 - Sun 6]

Will Swayne has resolved the affiliate issue with marketerschoice/1shoppingcart that I reported to you in this post earlier in the week. I’m not 100% happy with how they dealt with the problem, but I’m glad everything was fixed quickly in the end, so I have some of my confidence in 1shoppingcart restored.
Business Mastery Secrets
The program Will is promoting is called Business Mastery Secrets, hosted by Jay Abraham Asia Pacific and featuring a range of excellent presenters.
Here’s what the conference is about:
A 2-day Weekend Seminar That Lays Bare The 5 Keys To Outstanding Success In Business: Sales, Marketing, Cost Reduction, Tax Minimisation and Asset Protection
- Dr Marc Dussault
- Richard Evans
- Ed Dale (he’s the guy I’d most like to meet and the reason I would attend this event - he’s an Aussie who has made millions with niche sites online and his Underachiever System is very well known in Internet marketing circles)
- Garry Kewish
- Peter Sun
- Dymphna Boholt
The price to attend this event is $497, but if you book as one of the first 200 people in your city it’s $197, and I’m pretty sure you can still get in at this price as I type this.
There’s a good chance I’ll head to the Brisbane event. I’m now well and truly a fan of conferences like this. It’s a lot of fun, you get to “escape” for a weekend with like minded people, network, make friends, potentially find joint venture partners and my favorite bit - chat and get to know the speakers on a personal level (I wouldn’t have direct email contact with Mark Joyner, Mike Filsaime and Rich Schefren if I didn’t attend conferences to get to know these guys).
Bear in mind this is not a pure Internet marketing seminar, it’s about business, so you will no doubt meet people running both online and offline businesses and the speakers will not all be focused on web marketing.
If you want to know what each of the speakers will be talking about and purchase your ticket you can do so here:

If you attend the Brisbane event be sure to look out for my big mop of curly hair walking around and come up and say hello.
