How I Made Six Figures In One Day - 2007 Year In Review Part 1

As per Blaine Moore’s instructions, many bloggers are completing a year in review blog post recapping their blogging for the year before it rolls over into 2008.

Instead of highlighting my best articles from this blog during 2007 I’m going to do something a bit different - look at my business achievements for the year that was. This is part one of a three part series I will publish recapping the big events of 2007. Part two is coming tomorrow and part three is out on new years eve.

This year was quite simply the most amazing year I have had in many ways, but none more so than financially. This was the first year that I broke the fabled six figure income, I bought a new car, bought a house, sold a business, and started a new one, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Here’s how the year broke down…

Initial Impressions From The Rich Schefren Seminar

I don’t have time to write much now since I’m still in Florida and I want to head out and see something today before heading back to Toronto tomorrow. I’ll do a more in-depth report later in the week.

Whew! The seminar is over! This was first Internet marketing seminar I have ever attended and considering it wasn’t going to be like a traditional “pitch-fest” Internet marketing conference and more a gathering of Rich Schefren clients, I expected at the very least to make some friends, which was my main goal - outside of meeting Rich himself - of the whole weekend.

I can report back that my mission was accomplished and by far the best part of the whole event was meeting people who also run online businesses or desire to do so. The networking and just mingling was a lot of fun and it was very interesting to hear about all the different things people were up to. I’ve got a small pile of business cards, which when I get back to Toronto I will look through and highlight a few of the interesting people I bumped into.

In terms of the content from Rich, this was probably the largest let down - Rich just didn’t get through nearly as much as he planned and it felt all a bit haphazard. He made a last minute change to the live streaming presentation on the advice of his team, which I believe threw him off a bit and certainly was not something that the people in the audience expected. Most of the people I spoke to over the weekend were saying similar things and I’ll throw in my two cents later in the week on this issue as well. I’m know Rich reads this blog and I’m sure he’d appreciate the feedback based on what I collected from people attending the event and my own experience.

Overall I’m very glad I attended the event and it’s made me want to go to more, which alas is difficult coming from Australia.

For now I’m off to enjoy a rainy Florida day!

Yaro
